“Nothing great - terrible location - isolated from everything”

Only good thing about this casino is the parking is free...besides that it's nowhere near the standards or professionalism of any other casino I've seen...if Vegas is 10...this one is 1.5 or 2.
Recent reports in the news have shown a decline in attendance over the years and now the provincial government is considering to let customers take their drinks to the table where now it is not permitted to enjoy your expensive drink while playing blackjack for example.
The surrounding neighbourhood is grundgy and nothing at all in the area that you can walk to so, no restaurants, no bars. You have to buy your food and drinks at the casino only!!!
If you want to get to a local bar or restaurant you have no choice but to get back in your car and drive downtown montreal and good luck finding parking!!
Forget about public transit here....so incovenient and the bus drivers refuse to speak English!!
Don't waste your time here....

“Not the most interesting place in Montreal”

A depressing place, go if you want to watch people throw their money away. The building itself is from the Expo 67, it does look nice.

“Destroyer of families and many lives”

hate casinos, they destroy families and people. They fill the pockets of the politicians and leave people poor and homeless. Terrible addiction in which the government profits 100%.

“Not keeping up to international standards”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 5, 2013

I had visited late last year and indicated I would re-visit in the new year to see if any improvements. Well, the construction is still going on - really difficult to get around with two buildings and multiple floors - new elevators are poorly designed. I won a bit on the slots at first, but soon realized that it was back to the very tight slots I had commented on before...major slot wins here are very very rare. This place really needs new marketing / admin people who understand that customers are not merely 'cash cows' to feed the Provinxcial Government revenue department. Unfortunately, I still rate this place a huge disappiontment - another lost opportunity, as with so many Quebec Government operations.

“Depressing place where gambling addictions develop”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 30, 2013

Need I say more? The Montreal Casino is extremely depressing. I did not see any clocks in the casino (probably because they don't want you to know how long you've been there). I've seen machines that allow cash advances up to $50,000, and I saw one poor old man gambling away a high amount of money, and his "YES YES YES!" quickly turn to "NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! NO!" followed by a bowed head between his arms. There were many "regulars," often occupying more than one machine at a time, mindlessly pushing "SPIN" and watching the machine colours change and take their money. The building architecture itself is cool, but it is designed for you not to be able to find your way out (did I mention that many of the escalators only go one direction? into the casino?)

I saw the seniors sitting in the old, beaten up chairs and I just thought about how sad it is that they are spending the last of their years glued like zombies to a machine that is designed to make you lose your life savings.

At least if it was a classy place, it would be a fun activity for once in a while, but it is depressing, completely packed, and it just takes your soul away.

I have always said, "If this is your thing, then to each his/her own." But I will say this, I will never go back to this horrible, soul-sucking place, and I would strongly suggest the same to all of you reading this.
