Booked city tour through Viator as website indicated 1 extra stop that Grayline website did not indicate they would stop at. That was the Notre Dame Basilica. I really wanted to see it. Was picked up by bus outside hotel that was a Grayline marked bus that took us to the office on Peel St to check in with our tour operator. Was a bit confusing since I booked with Viator. I didn't realize that Viator was just booking Grayline tours for them but giving conflicting information about the tour. Tour was supposed to be English and French but ended up being in English since there was no need for French on our bus. Tour guide was Jean and he was absolutely awesome. Very humorous and knowledgeable. He made it easy to tip him at the end. Was very open to questions and offered recommendations for dining. Overall great experience with stops as promised at Olympic stadium, St Joseph's Oratory, Mont Royal and Notre Dame Basilica. Several quick stoplight stops to give explanations while waiting for traffic lights. Tour time was as indicated. Got lots of great photos. Definitely worth it if you've never seen Montreal.

I enjoyed going to the Biosphere, the Olympic tower, Botanical Gardens, and learning about the city.

We just did the 3 hour Montreal guided bus tour. Would recommend this before going out solo.
This gave us a good overview of the sites to see.
Guide was fluent in both English and French and was very friendly

We did two of their tours. (1) The Quebec City and Montmorency Falls Tour and (2) The Montreal City Guided Sightseeing Tour.

(1)Quebec City and Montmorency Falls
We were picked up from the hotel and taken to their office on Peel street and shown to the reception desk. For twenty minutes the receptionist then frantically tried to trace our tour on the computer and by making phone calls and she kept telling us and other passengers that there was no record of this tour for that day. Then after making another call she informed us we had been shown to the wrong desk! At the correct desk everything was quickly resolved but it beggars believe why she did not check this in the first place.

As English was the first language or understood but everyone on the coach the French speaking driver gave his commentary in English. Unfortunately, he was not fluent in the language and it was difficult to understand the things he pointed out and the announcements he made. It would have been better to have had the announcements about stops and departures pre-record in English and French.

Once we reached Quebec we were met by Katya, a brilliant Tour guide who took us on a great walking tour of the old city. Katya was fluent in several languages and gave us a very interesting and entreating tour.
For lunch we were given the option of eating at Spag & tina which was all geared up to deal with our party and get us served in time for the optional boat cruise. The lunch was good quality at a reasonable cost and very well organised to ensure you did not have to rush to catch the cruise.

The cruise was a bit of a disappointment. There was not a lot extra to see only what you had already seen at a different angles and the view of the Montmorency fall was not great, too far away and a bit of a let down. However, after the walking tour and lunch it was a nice way to relax before spending the spending the final couple of hours of free time to roam the city. Overall this is very good and organised tour and if like us, your time your time in Canada is limited this is a good way to see Quebec.

(2) Montreal City Guided Sightseeing Tour
Again we were picked up at the hotel and taken to their Peel street office and no problems this time. The tour went to all the major places of interest. The stops were brief but just about enough time and were nicely spaced. The tour guide was fluent in English and French and was very entertaining with his information, facts and stories about the city. A very good tour and a great way to get orientated with the city.

It has been 40 years since I was back in Montreal and, when in a new city, we will normally take a tour (we like the Trolly Tours, if available).

We took the Gray Line 6-hour tour I would recommend this on rather than the shorter (and cheaper) 3-hour tour. Germane (the tour guide) was knowledgeable and our tour was all in English. I understand that the shorter tour is not this way. There were only 10 people in our tour. Both tours start at the same place and I could see that the other tour was full.

The tour included the Olympic area, the gardens and a good part of the city. It served as a basis for what we did later in the city.

I am only recommending the 6-hour tour. I would not take the shorter one.
