Casual restaurant with amazing food & excellent service. Presentation needed attention eg food served on a saucer.
Music was a tad too loud, then the ambience would match the quality of their food served.

Restaurant is a 20min cab ride from city centre.

Hélicoptère is located a 20+ minute drive east from downtown Montreal. However, the quality of the food and the friendly service made the trip well worthwhile. The atmosphere is that of a busy, casual neighborhood restaurant frequented by locals, creating a dining experience very different from restaurants in the more popular tourist-oriented areas. The dishes are mainly small plates ideal for sharing or for eating individually, and the flavors were all very fresh and vibrant. We particularly enjoyed sampling several of the crudos and the tomato/kombucha/ginger salad. The wine list doesn’t appear online, but it’s quite varied with interesting options by the glass or by the bottle. There was also an extensive list of local craft beers.

We went last night for dinner had a reservation for 1730 was certainly a good idea to go at that time, on arrival you are greeted by a host very respectful and professional outstanding you are seated and given the menu and wine list they do have a very fine wine list and a interesting menu to work from to can do either individual plates or a set menu we went for individual plates to share.

The waitress recommended us a Japanese white wine which was outstanding we just had by the glass was more than enough with the 5 plates that we had the plates that they bring are a good size and it’s more than enough we had to start a sour dough bread then also a fish with strawberries lovely tasty and crunchy, then next was lentil which was my favourite then was cod with apple and then last was cauliflower every time a new service came out the plates and cutlery were changed which is very impressive as you get to enjoy the full taste of the next dish even though we only had 5 plates was more than enough.

Outstanding service friendly atmosphere very professional and they do have brunch as well so we will certainly be back again.

Small comfortable restaurant 15-20 min from downtown Montreal. We tried the seven course tasting menu ($55). Very inventive courses, all from local ingredients excellently prepared with very nice service, very good value.

This is a great neighborhood restaurant. It's way beyond the touristic core of Montreal, so I recommend it if you want to experience a slice of neighborhood life. The restaurant space is very appealing with lots of greens and exposed brick. The menu is composed of seasonal small plates. The serving size was on-par with other places we ate in Montreal and appropriate for value. Everything was fresh and seasonal. We especially like the mushrooms, the asparagus, and the fish. Service was a bit warmer than we encountered elsewhere. My cocktail was seasonal and so tasty--perhaps the best I had in Montreal.

My partner loved this place, I enjoyed it but was less bowled over by the food, so it gets 4*
