Can't praise it enough, staff are amazing, breakfast was lovely and one of the mist amazing beds ever. One the first night we mentioned that we were vegetarian and when we came back down to head out for dinner the woman on reception had done a search and made a lust of vegetarian restaurants that were close by. It has a really unique vibe with original art all literally covering the walls of the breakfast area. The location is lovely I mean there are 'cooler' areas in Montreal but few prettier. I hope to come back to Montreal and when I do I'll be staying here!

The service by the hip and knowledgeable young staff, was fantastic. My husband and I spent a short but cold time in wintery Montreal, but always felt soothed heading back to our this warm hotel, and the interesting modern room. The cappucinos were outstanding and the morning continental plenty.
Thank you for a wonderful time and we look forward to visiting again. Mille mercis!

Great spot, great looking rooms, nice staff, etc., but sometimes it seems the place is run by high school kids doing a school project. Everyone is very eager to help, but no one really functions together and the result is chaos! Example, I was trying to check out, but three staff were too busy serving a walk-in customer ordering a coffee and croissant to attend to me! They need a proper reception area--which would mean moving the impromptu cafe to the back of the hotel. Rooms need better sound-proofing. Still, great locale and cool rooms. you decide.

This is a sweet little hotel. The service was fantastic, and the location right in the heart of Old Montreal can't be beat. We booked the small room, which is indeed small. My only critique is that the room needed to be touched up a bit--the walls had a lot of scuff marks and the overhead lamp had a crack in it. Felt a bit worn.

Breakfast was good. Loved the chocolate croissant. It's a bit on the pricey side--we have stayed in the Latin Quarter and the Plateau for less. But it was lovely walking the nearly empty streets of early Jan in the snow.

We also visited the Scandanavian Baths, right around the corner. Highly recommend that experience.

I absolutely fell in love with this hotel. Very chic, and trendy with old world charm. This is a small, hip hotel without all the amenities of a chain but with a local flavor that's hard to beat. The staff is exceptionally helpful, gracious and friendly, more than willing to spend time with you and tend to any needs or concerns you might have or steer you to the better restaurants, bar, clubs, museums or points of interest in Montreal.

This hotel is spotless clean and extremely comfortable, almost to the point where you don't want to leave your room. Breakfasts, which come with your accommodations, include Belgian waffles, croissants to die for, breads, assorted cold cereals, fresh fruit salad, yogurt and exquisitely rich coffees. You serve yourself, with some assistance, in a small but comfortable room located just off the lobby. Croissants and coffees are available anytime day or night and are on the house to all hotel guests.

One bonus is the location on Rue St. Paul Ouest in the heart of Old Montreal. Here you are in walking distance of many fine restaurants, clubs, bars and boutique shops. If you like fashion shopping this is the place to be. It is a photographer's paradise if old world architecture is your thing.

If you like fine dining at its best a MUST restaurant would be DNA located at 355 Rue Marguerite d'Youville, a few blocks walking distance from the hotel. I highly recommend it. Try their sage infused gin martini for starters.

I highly recommend this hotel and returned again twice already.

We just stayed two nights at the Petit Hotel in old montreal.
We actually live two blocks away from the hotel and decided
to stay there because of renovations being done in our condo.
The hotel is a great place to stay and visit old montreal.
The staff is super friendly and very helpful.
The rooms are new, clean, comfortable, and have great king beds.
Even thou we live in this area, we would recommend this hotel to any
tourist visiting montreal.
Oh yeah, almost forgot, the continental breakfast they serve is included
in the fare and its pretty amazing.
Petit Hotel rocks!

I last reviewed this hotel just over a year ago, shortly after it opened and the good news is that the hotel continues to outshine. One of the key strengths of this hotel remains the staff. They are impressive. Even a year after opening, they remain among the best in the business: attentive, extremely professional, helpful, and available 24/7, and they do their jobs without being overly solicitous. The rate we paid was about the same we paid last year, so this hotel remains an excellent value. Improvements I noticed from my last visit (and there wasn't much room for improvement): there is now an iron in the room, and the complimentary continental breakfast is now on premises and is very generous and fresh (especially the thick cut raisin bread, croissants, and other baked goods: in other words, they're not skimping here). Valet parking still a great deal and convenient (no long waits for getting the car back). Last trip we stayed in a room facing St-Paul, which was louder in the summer (although quiet with the window closed). This stay, our room was located further back in the building facing an another building, and it was dead quiet. Hotel-wide WIFI still free and convenient. As a former Montréaler, I return to the city frequently, and my wife and, at this price, I will continue to make this hotel our first choice when we're not staying with family or friends.
