This has to be one of the finest boutique hotels we've stayed in.
Just steps away from the old port, Le Petit Hotel boasts very modern rooms an amenities.
The king size bed was like a giant marshmallow - so big and comfortable. The room was well sized and the shower was very modern with two shower heads and water jets.
The free wifi was super fast, and our rate included breakfast which was delicious. You have to try an authentic Montreal bagel at breakfast - along with all the delicious French pastries, fruit, yogurt, toast and cereals.
The valet parking was quick, efficient and reasonable. You really don't need a car if you're staying in this location. You can walk to Notre Dame, the port, the entertainment area and the main shopping district pretty easily on foot.
I can't recommend this place highly enough. You'll kick yourself if you stay anywhere else!

We spent 4 nights at this hotel in early May. The location is ideal for walking around or catching the underground. Our room was not the quietest but the hotel is still worth staying in. The staff were amazing, especially Carlos who gave us lots of advice about places to visit and restaurants to eat at. They also have bicycles which you can use for the day and if the weather is good, it's worth taking advantage of that. Will definitely return to this hotel.

We enjoyed our stay at this boutique hotel. Our room was very modern. The king size bed was incredibly comfortable! We slept so well. The continental breakfast was good. We would stay here again. We used valet parking. They were very efficient bringing the car to us.

Room Tip: We were on the third floor. Our room was very quiet.

The staff at Le Petit Hotel are excellent. They provided a wonderful level of service - going out of their way to make recommendations for cocktails, restaurants and, even, a barber. Our room was beautifully designed and impeccably clean. The bed linens were of a high quality, the bed was comfortable, and the overall experience was one of comfort and discretion. We enjoyed borrowing the hotel's bikes to explore some of the many bike routes around the city.

Difficult to get to across the hordes of tourists walking the streets but very well situated and gorgeous to boot. Arrived here late in the day and had to find a place to put the car while we checked out the parking situation. I had the husband find the nearest available illegal spot while I ran in to get the parking information. Tip: A tiny temporary spot directly across from the hotel serves as a temporary holding spot for valet parking. It will set you back about 25 dollars a night but it does come with in and out privileges. There is no bell service so be ready to haul your luggage in yourself. All this is explained quite charmingly at reception along with the information about the continental breakfast. The room was very spacious and the beds quite comfortable. We were happy to find a Wii with yoga and Wii sports in the room -- very fun. The temperature controls are within the room and work quite well. The continental breakfast included a specialty drink (mostly espressos all sizes) and had a variety of fresh fruit, croissant, pastries and yogurt -- served in a little room with some funky wall art. The only minor disappointments with our stay was the cheese platter which we ordered with our room reservation (skimpy with 3 garlic flavored bruschetta and nuts that were both cold and soggy -- yuck) and the surly person at checkout who managed to ignore us and be rude in two languages. Wish we hadn't gotten either one of these experiences but overall would give this place a thumbs up.

My new wife and I had the pleasure of staying at Le Petit Hotel for a week for our honeymoon and it was perfect.

First, the staff ... Not only were they incredibly friendly and welcoming, they got **** done! We had a "wish list" of restaurants in Montreal we wanted to check out (of course, we poached our list largely from Anthony Bourdain's show, so, they were the some of the most in-demand places in town). In spite of many calls and attempts to book online before we arrived I hadn't been able to secure a table at ANY of the spots (Joe Beef, Au Pied du Cochon, le Bremner, Garde Manger, etc) and was resigned to not enjoying them ... But the concierge took our list when we checked in and in no time had gotten us reservations at ALL of the places at 8 or 830pm - perfect! Our evenings were now planned for the entire week.

Now, the room ... We stayed in the large king room facing the street with three giant floor to ceiling windows (I think #8). Just amazing. The bed? The bed was memory foam! C'mon. The room was a spacious blend of modern and classic with exposed brick walls, hardwood floors but modern furniture, flat screen TV and an iPod dock. The bathrooms were nice, too, though I think their fancy showers are a bit too fancy / techie and hard to figure out (but whatever - it's a shower and it works) ... Some may not love the fact they don't have room service for breakfast, but they make that very clear and the spread they offer is solid with fruit and delicious (no, really, delicious) croissants.

And finally the location ... I'm not sure it could be better. Just a block from the river in the heart of the old city (but not too close to the super-high traffic areas) you are close to anything / everything you would want to check out. And the staff (remember the awesome staff?) gave us excellent recommendations for things like chill rooftop bars, lunch and brunch spots, and even an amazing spa just a block away. Also, we used the valet for our car and that was a piece of cake - if we called down for it, they would have it waiting for us in minutes.

We can't say enough good things about Le Petit Hotel and will have fond memories of our honeymoon forever, because of the staff and hotel and because of the amazing city and people of Montreal.

My wife and I spent three nights here and really enjoyed our stay. Our room was very comfortable and the staff was very helpful. The location couldn't be beat. It was close to everything but not in the middle of the busy tourist area. The continental breakfast was convenient and pretty good. It was nice to have complimentary Wi-Fi although the signal wasn't always very strong. Would stay here again.
