My husband and I stayed here 2 nights in mid-October. The location is ideal - close to all the good restaurants and shopping in Old Montreal, not the tacky touristy stuff farther east. The hotel is small (hence the name), and feels a little cramped at times. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well appointed. The only complaint is that the washroom was too small - two people could not fit. The breakfast was simple, but pretty tasty, and included a good espresso drink. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Overall, I would stay here again.

I spent a night at Le Petit Hotel in Old Montreal and will definitely stay on my next visit. The front desk staff are extremely courteous and helpful, the rooms are nicely decorated (in that boutique hotel kind of way), very modern, great showers, adequate continental breakfast (croissants, yogurt, toast, tea, coffee), wifi, superb location. I definitely recommend this charming hotel.

Stayed at le petit for several nights in extra large room. Very nice room, amazing shower. The staff was outstanding. Helpful, very nice.
Breakfast was very good -- coffee bar was a highlight. The hotel is in a great location. Room was facing street -- so it was loud in early morning (3-4 am) as folks going home from bars. Absolutely stay at this hotel -- just try for room not right on street.

Dear fownog,

We would like to thank you for taking the time to write a review and strongly recommending the hotel. We are glad that you enjoyed some of our hotel’s best assets such the shower, our complimentary continental breakfast and helpful tips from our team. While having the upside of a great view, rooms facing Saint-Paul Street are overlooking a commercial street in a popular neighborhood. Quieter rooms towards the back of the hotel can be requested in all room types upon reservation.

Regards,

Joëlle Beaulieu

Staff made all the difference.
Room was cozy, yet petite (as the name says), but was perfect.
Breakfast simple... (although could have been more complete, so as to add some variety to our three night stay)
Location could not be better!

We spent one night at Le Petit Hotel prior to boarding a cruise ship in Montreal. I wish we would have spent more time there. We arrived late in the evening and were checked quickly at the front desk. Our room was very nice and the staff very helpful, especially with suggestions for places to have something to eat. I would highly recommend this hotel. The location was great, within walking distance to several attractions. Good food all around!

I recently stayed at Le Petit Hotel in Montreal and chose to do so on the basis of really good reviews on Tripadvisor. The hotel was in a good location in Old Montreal, close to the basilica and with a lot of restaurants and places to hang out. The free wifi and breakfast was a plus. The rooms were trendy and the staff were "standard friendly" as the other reviewer mentioned they were just "doing their job kind of friendly". However, the hotel room was small. I reserved a medium sized/standard king room for about $200++. The room was small compared to other 4 star hotels in the area that I stayed at during this same trip. The bed and pillows were nice and soft, however, I felt that there were times that the bed linen were not changed or laundered at all and had a smell as if someone had already slept in it, and not the usual "newly laundered" smell that I expect. The bathroom was TINY, when you open the door, it would almost hit the edge of the toilet seat. The shower was nice and strong. The bathroom supplies were not replenished daily and the bathroom linens-face towels, hand towels were also not replaced daily, even though we have put the towels on the floor to indicate we needed new ones. The shower door leaks and often we have to use the extra towels to avoid flooding the floor of the bathroom. There was no cable TV and almost all shows were in French (we don't speak French) so we were unable to watch anything except the news. Lastly, the area were the hotel was, was noisy, you can here people shouting in the streets in the middle of the night, trucks/cars outside and there was also some weird construction noise during the time that we stayed. Some of these noise woke us up in the middle of the night or early morning, which was bothersome if you are in Montreal for a vacation. All in all, I think that the hotel is nice and trendy with a good location, but is overpriced and overrated as well.

Dear chickenomi,

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience and pointing out what we believe to be great features of our hotel such as the prime location, the free wifi and breakfast, the bed and the shower. I was concerned to read about your experience and wanted to offer my apologies, as this is not kind of experience and service we are known for. I am sorry you experienced a noisy stay but I can attest that the construction project in the building behind the hotel has been completed and should not affect our guests. Your feedback has already been shared with the team to ensure the inconveniences you encountered are not experienced again.
Furthermore, I invite you to get in touch with me personally as I would appreciate the opportunity to discuss the details of your stay. Perhaps we can also explore the possibilities of welcoming you again, in order for you to truly engage in an amazing Petit Hotel experience upon your next visit to Montreal.

Best regards,

Joëlle Beaulieu

It´s a new, modern and tastefully decorated hotel. Great option for whom want to stay near the restaurants, bars, galleries and shops of Old Montreal, it´s located behind The Notre-Dame Church and there are two subway stations nearby.
The staff is very friendly and you can take an expresso or a cappucino even late night. The bed was great, very confortable.
