“not all locations alike .”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 13, 2013

I have been to a few of the locations but unfortunately the Monkland locations sticks out like a sore thumb to an otherwise good chain of bakeries.
cakes and pastries always fresh , but food selections and sandwich counter are second rate at best in terms of quality and freshness at times .

“Always delicious”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 9, 2013

My friend and I live just south of the border from Montreal, and for the past 15 years we have taken many trips to the Atwater Market just to to have lunch and pick up pastries from this suburb restaurant/bakery. I have never once been disappointed with the quality of food. The pastries are simply amazing: So often (in the US anyway) pastries may look very appealing but then taste like cardboard...Boulangerie Premiere Moisson's pastries are beautiful to look at AND taste just as good as they look.

“Alternative food choices”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 25, 2013

If you need to think about eating vegan, or just want to avoid meat and dairy, this place has some really interesting salads to take away that will fill your requirements and your stomach too. Delicious combinations like hearts of palm, artichoke hearts, olives, peppers, with delicious vinaigrette, as well as quinoa with various delicious veggies. For those who can do gluten, there is an amazing variety of superb breads, pastries, and bakery specialty items. And of course, the coffee is tops. Highly recommended - you will have all the makings of a fantastic picnic lunch to enjoy outdoors in beautiful Montreal.

Superb bread, jams, baked good. What's not to love. Best baguettes in Montreal. Worth the wait in line

“Buttery pastries and great espresso”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 8, 2012

We're no experts, but we have been to Paris (once) and stop at La Boulange in SF every chance we get. That said, we love this place and almost started crying when we found it was no longer on Sherbrooke since our last visit in 2009. It was sheer dumb luck we found it at Atwater Market. Anyway, it was as good as we remembered. Great selection of pastries and great espresso and chocolate chaud. Hectic atmosphere, but calm friendly staff.
