“Great hotel in a great location”
Reviewed May 17, 2010

When I saw $104/night for a 4 star hotel in Old Montreal, I thought the hotel would be very nice, but Le Westin surpassed my expectations. The service at this hotel was both friendly and excellent. The hotel itself is rather new, so it's very clean and modern. The room was spacious and extremely comfortable. The bed was so comfortable that I slept like a rock every night. Even the shower pressure was decent, which is hard to come by in hotels (even very nice ones).

The pool and gym facilities were impressive as well. I have never stayed in a hotel that had such nice fitness equipment. All of the treadmills and elliptical machines were equipped with their own flat-screen televisions with an adapter to connect to your ipod.

The hotel is also conveniently located in Old Montreal and directly across from a large convention center. The benefit of this location is the easy access to the older part of the city which is a wonderful place to walk around, grab a crepe or just relax. The convention center directly across the street provides quick/easy acces to the metro, as well as, the underground city. There are also several food-court type restaurants and a convenience store.

Overall I was very impressed and believe I got an exceptional deal for my money!!

We stayed for two nights here for Montreal Symphony Concerts. Good location for the hall, and also for China Town and Metro for a visit to the Botanical Garden. Very helpful for that. However the glass bottom swimming pool that was one of the reasons for picking that hotel is only open 7-11am, and 5-9pm. These are not the hours I like to swim, that I do in the afternoon. I did not even realize the pool was not open and went swimming, and after a while a manager came and asked me to leave. Very disappointing, and should be listed in their website. Also the pool is small and the water cold. The hot tub has no waves, it is just a pool.

The rooms were clean. The bathroom was amazing and the location was even better.
They even gave us a bottle of wine and a card for our anniversary.

1 thing that i would recommend is having a gift store in the hotel and vending machines.

A+ i would definitely stay there again

Great stay at this hotel, friendly staff, luxurious and brand-new rooms, liked the bathroom, the bed heavenly indeed, delicious chocolates to help relax and sleep (where can I order them?) in the evening as part of turndown service, very good breakfast (among other things, fresh strawberries and other fruit) and coffee. When you exit the hotel on the 3rd floor on the back you are immediately in the Old Town, very handy. The only thing I missed was a minibar in the room. Strange for such a luxurious hotel (I guess it's Westin policy, because I stayed in Westin Reston last year and there was also no minibar). There are ice cubes in the rooms however (which I don't use). I wonder why this hotel scores so low on tripadvisor. To me it was almost perfect and I'm very picky normally.

Just returned from a fantastic weekend at Le Westin Montreal with a group of friends. The hotel is beautiful and feels very new and up to date, and the staff were incredibly accommodating of our every need. Le Westin can be pricey at times, I suspect, but if you can find a good rate at this hotel definitely go for it.

Really just a perfect new addition to Montreal! Hopefully the hotel's TripAdvisor rating will improve shortly, because it deserves it! I lost my personal photo's of the room, however, the hotel website photos of the rooms are actually accurate! The rooms are huge, and the heavenly beds are really top notch!
