We were here recently for a competition at the Palais de Congress which was across the street. A beautiful and clean hotel with a friendly and helpful staff. Our hall and room were very quite, although our view was of the ally between buildings. We know the hotel was quite full, but the section we were in did not seem to be. We never had to wait for an elevator and most often had it to ourselves. Beds were very comfortable, probably the best I have slept in in a hotel. Nice large bathroom and clean room. The hotel was convenient to sites and dining in the Old City area. There was a small coffee/bakery/sandwich shop downstairs which was very good and not too pricey compared to other area places, however I wished it opened a little earlier and stayed open later. The only other place to dine in the hotel was the hotel's restaurant or room service.

The location of this place is really nice: It is near the Old City (which is a block up the hill) and across the street from the convention center. A subway station is a five minute walk, but most of the attractions are within walking distance of the hotel. My room was nice and spacious. The bed is comfortable and it has a large shower with 2 shower heads. The view was not much -- just an alley and a brick building across. Staff were helpful and spoke both French and English very well. It's funny how everyone started the conversation with "bonjour, hello" and waited to see which language you responded using. They have a sponsored run every Tuesday and Thursday morning with hotel staff leading the way. I was at the hotel for a conference, but I loved so Montreal so much that I would like to come and explore more of the City. I'll probably stay at this hotel when doing so.

Stayed here recently for 3 nights on business. This Westin is in a great location, right by the old town.
The hotel itself is still one of my favorite Westin's, though is starting to show some wear and tear. Nice bedroom ... great bed as always, nice bathroom. As well, the hotel is VERY quiet in the rooms which is fantastic.
I know there is a running group (not that I run) and the pool is nice.
I also like the free drink or tapa for SPG Platinum members .. nice touch.
If you want a good hotel in a great location to the old town, stay here

Dear darrennelson, thank you very much for being loyal to the Westin brand. Le Westin turned 5 years old this May, and we are currently replacing the carpeting on the main public levels. We would love to hear any recommendation you may have in order to make your time with us even more comfortable. Sincerely,

I stay at this Westin whenever I am in Montreal and it is always warm and hospitable. Consistently strong restaurant and wonderful concierge services. Love the 12 foot ceilings and lovely views. Could not ask for a better location, as it is next to Vieux Montreal with all of its wonderful restaurants, cafés, and cobblestone roads.

We stayed two nights in Montreal and wanted to be close to historic Old Montreal so we didn't have to drive much. Traveling with three kids (youngest can still fit in a Pack and Play, so we can barely fit in one room still) can be tricky, but the staff at Le Westin Montreal couldn't have been more friendly or accommodating of us all!

Lovely room, comfortable beds. The kids had a great time in the cool pool, which was on the fourth floor and has a glass bottom. They enjoyed swimming to the bottom and looking down through the bottom into the pull through entryway and waving at guests just arriving. :)

My husband and I both made use of the great fitness center on the same level (complimentary water, disposable headsets; ~5 treadmills, several bikes and ellipticals, yoga mats, free weights, weight machines, etc.). Very nice and open 24 hours a day.

I'm very enthusiastic about this hotel. My only issue is that we booked it through Hotwire for a very good price, but I think the usual rate is pretty steep. And we did have to pay $30/day for parking plus all the piddly tips for requisite bellhop service and valet parking service (not optional). All in all, though, a great hotel. My kids already want to go back, and we just left.

Dear candomama2012, thank you very much for your lovely review. To help you plan your next visit, I will simply let you know that fall and winter season is the best timing to find a deal. There will still be tons of activities to be done in Montreal, whcich our concierge team will be delighted to share with you. Au revoir,

We stayed due to location across from the convention center for the Irish dance competition. Very well done common areas and the staff was great. We had rooms 808 and 809 in the corner. Great combination of space for our family. Very clean, well appointed, comfortable, great bathroom, and my main requirement QUIET. Very quiet, even with a lot of girls running around. The only knock would be the small pool area with no ventilation, wow it was hot in there.

Room Tip: Get a corner room.
