Stayed here for the Montreal Formula 1 race this past weekend. Everything from the entrance to the hotel which was a glass enclosed driveway (which I imagine is even better in the winter) to the valet and doormen, to the reception, and rooms were fantastic. The staff was professional, friendly, and knowledgeable. The room was large and well appointed. Only suggestion would be newer, larger TV's and more power plugs near the bed. It was all clean and well maintained. We had a large group and everyone enjoyed the stay. We congregated in the bar / restaurant each morning for breakfast (good!) and drinks in the evening. The place was packed but the wait staff remained friendly and we never waited for service.

I was in Montreal for business and this location is close to the congress center. The staff was great. The pictures are accurate for this hotel. Great value and clean hotel is everything you would expect from a Starwood hotel.

Our family of three recently stayed as part of conference travel. The hotel is directly across the street from the Palais de Congres (convention center) and at the edge of Old Montreal. Our conference room rate was very affordable and considerably below the rack rate. The check-in was efficient and the staff welcoming.

The room was of good size and contained two queen beds. Even though it was on the second floor above a facility where receptions with live music were held, we did not notice any issues with noise. The room furnishings were basic but had all amenities including a coffee/teamaker. Bedding and towels were of good quality. Housekeeing did a fine job of keeping the room clean and bathroom amenities were replaced daily.

The hotel restaurant (Gazette) was a bit pricey, but as you would expect at a city center. The food was excellent! The breakfast buffet was well stocked...even when extremely crowded and the dinner menu was varied, well-prepared. Wait staff were always pleasant and the seating hostess on duty remembered us from day to day. All staff spoke excellent English and French so no worries with whichever language is best for you. For those preferring a slightly less expensive option, there is a cafe on the second floor with delicious pastries, coffee, and sanwiches. Our teenage daughter often visited it while her dad and I were at the conference.

Old Montreal and the Notre Dame Cathedral are out the back door! The area seemed safe, even at night, including down by the old port. Many wonderful shops and restaurants plus museums. We had no concerns when our daughter went out exploring during the day.

We would certainly recommend this hotel for either business or a family trip.

As the title says, very comfortable rooms and great workout facilities. Yes, it is pricey, but you'd expect that given the excellent location near the old city. Look up my reviews of restaurants and all but one of them are within a 10-minute walk. The concierge was very good and I liked that they didn't charge me to send my postcards home!

I was in Montreal on business and love the fact that the hotel is situated so close to the Congress Center. My wife and I also wanted to spend time with our two grand-daughters (2 and 5 years old) and we had them stay with us for one night. No problem with the room. We inquired at the front desk about the hotel restaurant Gazette for dinner and breakfast. We were told that the restaurant had a children's menu for dinner and that children ate free for breakfast. After being seated in the restaurant at dinner time, the server brought us the very limited children's menu and were told that Hotel Management had decided to offer 'healthy menu'. We have no problem with this, however the 5 year old saw a lady at another table eating fries and that is what she wanted, we could not change her mind. The server told us if we wanted to order fries, it would cost us 3 times the regular price. We had no choice to walk out of the restaurant and go somewhere else for dinner. The next morning, my wife called for room service for breakfast and was told that the items on the children's menu was not available and that she could order an adult plate of pancakes that they would put into two smaller plates. Although that is what she wanted on the children's free breakfast menu, my wife agreed. At check out, this is what the 'free children's breakfast' ended up costing: two plates of pancakes $27 + $3.44 QST +$1.73 GST + $4.50 TIP + $3 delivery charge!!! for a total of $39.67! I am not impressed to say the least.
We are far from being rich and feel that we were taken advantage...

Dear famroy, thank you kindly for sharing your feedback further to your visit with grandchildren. I am sincerely sorry we fell short of your expectations in regards of the children menu. Westin implemented some major changes in the past few months in order to position itself as a healthy destination for the entire family. Reading your review, it is clear we still need to work on our delivery to ensure we offer not only a healthy menu, but a delectable one for our guests of all ages. Again, I thank you for your comments and I hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you and your family back at Le Westin Montreal. Sincere regards,

I had a very nice stay at Le Westin and found the property to be exactly as illustrated in the photos. The bed was quite comfy and the property conveniently located. The reception staff was helpful and my room on the Starwood Preferred Floor was nice. I have no regrets and would reccomend this property - especially if you can secure a good deal.
