“great location, tiny room”
Reviewed July 3, 2013

Very chic and modern, with a great location. Room was well equipped, with a kitchenette and a tiny table. The smallest hotel room at this price point that I've ever been in. There's no room for a work desk or a place to sit except for the kitchenette chairs, no bureau; only two very small drawers in the closet. Its great, though, if all you need is a place to sleep.

There was only one elevator available, which we had to share with the maintenance people and the cleaning staff. Parking was expensive and inconvenient; the only option was off site valet parking, which required a half hour advance notice to retrieve your car. At checkout, the car was parked a block away from the entrance; not my idea of valet service.

The hotel is stylish and modern, but have to admit that you have to like it. Black everywhere, chill-out music 24/7, furniture, rooms, lobby etc.. everything on theme.

We were in the cheapest room available, and still it was very elegant, silent, clean etc.. you can just enjoy Montreal and let them take care of you.

The location is awesome, close to the metro and in walking distance of some very nice places, seashore included. For example we had the Francofolies festival at 100m!

Service: It was just average - nothing special but nothing terrible

Cleanliness: A very well kept, ultra-modern property

Location: Its definitely convenient - a walk to china town, old town and downtown. But it is located adjacent to one of the most crack-tacular parks I've ever seen. When we first pulled up I witnessed a very loud argument and a drug deal. We have no problems co-existing with the drug addicts but just a heads up if you're not as cool :).

Rooms: Ultra modern but in an attractive way - they've gotten it right. The bed was so comfortable I could sleep all day - loved the decor, the contemporary touches and the large bay window above the bed. The rooms are small but you won't mind because they're kinda cool.

Best of All: The bathroom and shower was cool to look at. Location was excellent!

Would we stay again? Sure - for the right price.

The rooms are modern and well decorated though quite small.
I was staying alone in the room though it might be tight with another person. The location was fantastic, close to old town, St. Catherine's and Mount Royal. I would absolutely stay here again.

Great price, location, amenities, accommodations. Location was very close to downtown, restaurants, Old Montreal - most were within walking distance. Staff was friendly and bilingual as my French was terrible. They have muffins, fruits, coffee available every morning - which I had no idea. The room itself was very modern, clean, and nice. I think the only advice I have for their staff is to provide information as we were obviously unaware of the sights and I think being in the hospitality industry, that being proactive in providing information goes a long way. This is referring to the fact that we had no idea that coffee and muffins were free, no suggestions provided about where to go, and that when we asked about parking they didn't provide an alternative as we paid $25/night and later we found out that within 5 minutes walking distance there was a lot that charged $15/night. That being said, I definitely would recommend this place.

Hotel room is small but modern. However, it had a feeling of being a bit old and run down, with a modern renovation to hide this away. A couple of things annoyed me - the TV remote would only work at certain angles directly in front of the TV, and there was minimal lighting in the room. Also on one day, the housekeeping took our bath towels but didn't replace them. This was rectified by reception but an annoyance none the less.
In terms of location this hotel is brilliant, across from chinatown, and walkable distance to old montreal and possibly downtown as well - but we found the metro to be a good public transportation system so would often just catch the metro.
Staff were nice and helpful - overall it was a good stay, but nothing too special.

modern look, good price hotel with a very nice location. Room size is good enough. Clean bed, bathroom; although the bed sheet is kinda wavy (see my photo of it - i don't know if it's always like that) - quiet and have a nice view if you pick higher floors. Reception is awesome!

Room Tip: pick higher floors
