“Ah, the perfect bed!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 8, 2011

We stayed here Dec 2-5, 2011. This is simply the best bed I have ever slept in. My partner and I have different ideas of the perfect bed, but we both slept perfectly on this one. I can't ever remember a hotel room where I didn't have some adjustments to make in regards to at least one of: the room temperature and/or ventilation, the pillows, the bed, the linens or the noise levels. I had none of these problems in this hotel. We walked in, settled in, and fell asleep. It was so simple, just like it should be - and we are both light sleepers.
Our room was facing the street.

Unlike in almost all other hotels, the freezer in the minifridge actually works. It is a bit slow to freeze, but it does work. There were also plenty of accessible electrical outlets.

Our room, a King, was absolutely huge. It included a couch, 2 armchairs, a hassock and coffee table as well as the designer desk chair.

Excellent water pressure and plenty of hot water on the 7th floor

A couple of minor issues. The lightbulbs were not really bright enough for me as bedside lamps. However, I did not complain about them. It's possible they would have offered better ones if I'd asked. But I do think stronger bulbs should be standard issue, especially in hotels which offer Seniors rates, as does this one.

We did not requrest a disability-friendly room, but ours did have the disability signifier on the door. For those of you who may require this feature, please note that our room did not have a grab bar for the toilet, which it really should have. I am not sure if this was just our room or whether they are all like this, but if it is an issue for you, you should inquire about it.

I would have appreciated a night light in the bathroom.

Staff were friendly and accommodating although we did not have a lot to do with them.

We did not try the food, so can't comment.

5 miute walk from the Place des Arts subway station. There was always a cab waiting at the door. Many restaurants in the area.

The challenge for this hotel will be to see if it can maintain this level of quality as the years go by and the facilities age.. I have stayed in several Montreal hotels, always chosen after much deliberation and consulting reviews at tripadvisor, but this one was definitely the best value overall, and the best sleep in particular.

Dear Guest,
We thank you for choosing to stay at our property for lodging needs while in our city. We are pleased to hear that you enjoyed your stay as well as experienced such a great night's sleep! To reassure you, the room that you lodged in was not an accessible room although it has some of it's features. Our accessible rooms are completely equipped with the necessary additions to facilitate mobility and comfort. We thank you also for taking the time to provide us with feedback concerning the lighting; we will take careful consideration of your comments.
Best Regards

Spent a week here in early October. Was a reasonably priced hotel for Montreal. Good location, close to everything and transit. The room was perfectly adequate and typical Hilton standards. The room had a few extra amenities like a fridge & microwave which are helpful if you're there for a few nights. My only complaint was that at 2300h, you have to ring to get buzzed into the foyer, and its a bit nippy to stand waiting for the night manager to let you in. Overall, this is good bang for your buck.

Stayed in this hotel from Dec 2nd - 4th, 2011. Staff were helpful but not overly friendly. Didn't eat at the hotel restaurant so couldn't say whether it's good or bad. Our room was very clean and we got fresh towels for the 2nd day. The room was smaller then what was expected but big enough for the two of us. Asked for a room with a view when we got there, but they couldn't accomodate, so our view was kinda crappy. The hotel is in a great location right downtown, close to lots of restaurants that are within walking distance (even in the cold weather), and about a 15 minute walk to the shopping area. Parking at the hotel was pricey. Cost us $50 to park for 2 nights, which we thought was a little bit costly.

Overall, a nice, clean hotel.

Very nice Hilton property in a great central Montreal location. Rooms are very clean and confortable, and they contain a microwave oven, small refrigerator and a coffee maker.

I don't usually eat in hotel restaurants, but the restaurant here has really good food. Nice if you get in late and don't want to go out. Staff is friendly and helpful.

We had a great stay at this hotel and Stephanie was so helpful and gave us a wonderful room with a view. Close to shops and very close to old city. Would definitely return.

Room Tip: Rooms farther from elevators are quieter

I like this hotel, my first time travel to Monteal, stayed for three nights, fair price, and very clean nice room and facilities. Good services. I love the breakfast, variety choices, although you have to pay for it, but worth to do that. Parking a little bit expensive, but all the downtown area are like this. Overall a nice hotel to stay and walkable in summer to all the good places around downtown. Walkable to Chinatown as well :)

We stayed 3 nights in a room with a king size bed in mid November and had no major complaints. We did not use the restaurant - there are many very good restaurants, cafes and pubs within walking distance. The gym is bright and has all equipment in good working order.

Mouldy smell from bathroom drains should be addressed. The cover sheet for the king size bed was queen size and did not cover the width of the top duvet, which is not changed after each guest - sanitary issue.

Dear Guest,
We thank you for choosing to stay at our property while visiting our city and for taking the time to write a review. We are pleased to hear that you enjoyed your overall experience with us and that you were able to benefit from some of our many amenities such as our fully equipped fitness center and pool facilities. It is true that our hotel is centrally located in downtown Montreal and offers a wide choice of restaurants and cafes at close proximity as well as many attractions. However, we suggest that on a future stay you try out our in house dinning which I assure you measures up with all the great restaurants Montreal has to offer. In response to your concerns regarding the bedding and the bathrooms, we would like to reassure you that our hotel has extremely high standards of cleanliness. Upon each check out all the bedding, including the duvet covers are removed washed and replaced with fresh linens without exceptions. We also thoroughly deep clean each bathroom and proceed with two separate room inspections to ensure the perfection of each room prior to delivering it to a new guest. We hope that you will have the opportunity to give us the pleasure to serve your future lodging needs.
