“Almost a tourist trap”
Reviewed July 13, 2013

What saves this place is probably the décor, very nice ambiance and the wine list that is surprisingly long and affordable which is rather rare for an Asian restaurant in montreal (but some of the wines on the list are not available...). Service is at best approximative (as well as the food description on the menu), and frankly, the food is quite common.

The Asian salads are not very Asian, and frankly I can do better at home on that front. We did not order full sushi, but providing the sushi pizza we had is a reflexion on the rest, it is very very average (far from shodan for example). The rolls included as starter in the lunch menu were plainly tasteless.

And for a place that was not so busy, the long times between the plates and the lack of follow up from the amateur servers did not add to the equation. Luckily we were not in a rush.

So with the tons of good restaurants in old montreal and also especially the very good offering of a variety of real Asian from various countries offered in close neighborhood (the Chinese district is not that far), this one can just be skipped without missing anything.

“Nice restaurant, good food”
Reviewed July 4, 2013

This restaurant has the same problem that all other restaurants close to the Old Port, they trust too much on their location and sometimes they forget to give good service. This was exactly the case when I had dinner at this place, it is conveniently located, the restaurant itself is nice, the quality of the food is very acceptable, but the service was rude and not good. I ordered sushi, it was good (not exceptional), however I'll be happy to eat there again. It is a little bit pricey (average for the Old Port restaurants), it is a good option for drinks or even a date, just don't put too much attention on the service.

“Fabulous Food & Pretty Good Service”
Reviewed February 10, 2013

We live in the neighborhood & have been to this restaurant 3 or 4 times because we love the food, but the ambiance leaves something to be desired. Each time we found the music to be really loud with a repetitively annoying beat - fine for a bar scene - but when you include the bar where people are dining - it would be nice if they were more mindful that people will want to converse with one another at dinner & it's hard to hear one another speak when the music is loud and irritating. We asked if it could be turned down a bit so we could hear what our guests were saying - we were told it wasn't possible.... They need some new and a little quieter music. )o:

“Very good food”
Reviewed December 27, 2012

My husband picked this restaurant for my birthday, just before Christmas. When we arrived we the place was almost empty and we were a little concerned but e tables filled up later on. Service was interesting....our server was a bit of a character but no complaints. He was pleasant and efficient enough even if he didn't appear to agree with our choice of wine. The food was all delicious. Very good indeed. We would not hesitate to go again. Definitely worth a visit.

“Perfect place for an evening out in Old Montreal”
Reviewed August 1, 2012 via mobile

This was our first try and we loved it. Great Mojitos and Huge garlic shrimp to die for. The staff was very attentive to our every need. We arrived a bit stressed out and left relax and content. What more can you ask for?
