Went to Montreal this past week and have to say this hotel is great. The location was amazing and the room had everything you need. They took care of everything and really made you feel welcome. Would suggest to friends.

There are a few reasons to not stay at the Parc Suites Hotel:

- If you are averse to climbing stairs, you should not stay at the Parc Suites. Approximately 52 stairs from ground to top floor suites, no elevator, no way around it.

- If you are looking for ultra modern decor, you probably will not be happy at the Parc Suites. Furnishings are very comfortable and very clean, but more contemporary than modern (that said, all suites have a flat screen tv and cable in each room).

- If you will utilize the hotel parking and are not comfortable passing homeless people, you may not feel settled at the Parc Suites. Parking is behind the hotel and, though safe, the most convenient way to get from the hotel entry to the lot is via an alley popular with some of the city's homeless population.

That out of the way, this is absolutely a five star review and here's why:

- The staff are wonderful. When we arrived, the woman at the desk came down to our car and drove with us to the parking lot. She then helped bring our bags into our suite and spent a few minutes explaining all the features of the suite to us. Through our entire stay, we only saw two other staff - Turgay (the owner) and another gentleman. All staff were incredibly friendly, happy to answer any questions we had, and willing and able to provide useful recommendations on things to do and places to eat.

- The suite was absolutely perfect for our needs (two adults and a child). A stocked kitchen (with plates, silverware, large fridge, microwave, stove, & more), a large enough bathroom (with full tub, cabinet, and stepstool), living room (with pull-out sleep sofa, flatscreen TV, and small balcony), and separate bedroom (king sized bed, large closet, another flatscreen TV) provided all the amenities we needed. The suites are all non-smoking (you can smoke on the outdoor balcony if needed), and to our very pleasant surprise, we found a single size cot in the bedroom closet which we setup in the living room for our child. As said previously, very clean and comfortable.

- The location was spectacular! We only used our car one of the four days in the city because we were able to walk almost everywhere or easily take the Metro (stop 2 blocks away) to Olympic Park. Lots of great restaurants, attractions, and necessities (grocery, pharmacy, coffee shops) within steps.

- The value couldn't be beat. For a true suite (a separate bedroom), nothing else downtown comes even close to the price.

We would recommend the Parc Suites without hesitation for families and other individuals looking to spend time in Montreal!

Dear valued hotel guest

We thank you for staying at the Parc Suites Hotel and we appreciate your opinion and feedback about your stay experience at our hotel,

We would like to clarify a fact about our set of stairs , the first set of stairs leading up to the lobby level where we have 4 suites and total of 29 steps of stairs up to lobby level. Upon request our guests can ask to book one of the four rooms that are located on the 1st floor (lobby level), Studio is located among one of the 4 suites at the 1st. level.
Then, the number of the second set of stairs leading up to the 2nd floor is 23 steps where we have 4 more suites.
So in resume we have a total of 8 rooms in our hotel , 4 on the 1st floor and 4 on 2nd floor,
we have to agree that climbing the cases of stairs can be tiring for our guests who have luggage to carry upstairs upon check in, therefore we offer our assistance to handle our guest’s luggage upon check in and upon check out, we are ready to help you in order to make your stay hassle free . In terms of our staircase, many guests have commented that they really don’t mind the workout considering the charm, the beauty and the cleanliness of our hotel which exceeds their expectations , and the stairs that they have to climb remains a minor concern .
As for the design style of our hotel, we have combined the classic European design style mixed with certain contemporary elements , which gives it a very vibrant and welcoming appeal to our guests.
Clearly the downtown area like any downtown section of any big city will have its homeless population, therefore it is very common to see homeless citizens roaming the streets and in the back alley where our parking lot is located, therefore if our guests feel uncomfortable walking by homeless individuals pleading for handouts, it will be our pleasure to offer you a valet service.
We look forward from hearing you again and would like to inform you that the most advantageous way to book a hotel room with us is directly is via telephone or our website, by doing so you will take advantage of our free promotional parking and many other advantages,

Kindest regards.

The hotel is at a great location, one block from the Metro, and very close to all attractions, in a central, yet tranquil location.

Rooms are very well groomed and decorated and the whole hotel is very clean.

The owner takes care of almost everything and is very nice, making sure everything is ok with you at all times.
By the time we arrived he already knew who we were and showed us the room we had booked, and afterwards showed us a suite (room number 1) with a living room and larger bathroom, and offered us to upgrade tho that room for free. The reason? We had found him thorugh tripadvisor and booked directly (the best rate), so as he didn't have to pay comission to booking or any other site. Of course he can't offer this to everybody, but he had an empty room...

Wifi works perfectly.

The only inconvenience is that to get to the rooms it is necessary to go up a big set of stairs.

Room Tip: Room number 2 is a studio and room number 1 is a suite, the nicest in the hotel.

Dear valued guest,

Thank you for choosing the Parc Suites Hotel and we appreciate your feedback on your stay experience at our hotel.
We were more than happy to provide you with the upgrade even though upgrades are available based on availability and to the discretion of the hotel owner and of the hotel staff, we will always try to offer you the best room and the best rate available .
Generally room selection is available through direct bookings either through the phone line or the website.
We acknowledge your comments about our set of stairs that our guests have to climb to get to the 1st level of the hotel where we have 4 rooms which is 29 steps, and to get to the 2nd floor where we have another 4 rooms and an additional 23 steps to climb, therefore at anytime of the day we are prepared to help you carry your luggage during the check in process and also upon your departure.
We have had several guests in the past commenting that the exercise is a plus in addition to the beauty , the cleanliness and the service quality of the hotel.
By booking directly with hotel website or calling hotel for reservation you will also benefit from the free promotional parking and so many other advantages.
We wish to accommodate you again in the future

Best regards.

Centrally located, Parc Suites is the perfect place when traveling to Downtown Montreal. It is a 5 minute walk to Place-des-Arts Metro station, Sainte-Catherine Street, and about 20 minute walk to Old Montreal. Nearby is the Jean Coutu drugstore, The Provigo Supermarket, Starbucks Coffee, and in the Galeries du Parc two blocks down you will find the Cinéma du Parc (our favorite repertoire movie theater), Uniprix Drugstore, Dollar store, Metro Supermarket and many more stores and restaurants. There are plenty of choices in terms of grocery for those who eat organic and have special diets.

Suite #1, next to the reception and staircase has a small bedroom with a queen size bed, an open concept living room with pull-out comfortable sofa and a small but efficient eat in kitchen. There is a flat screen TV, and a dvd player in the living room and a second flat screen TV in the bedroom. There is one sofa chair, 3 chairs and two folding ones in the entry closet along with a folding luggage rack. There is also a folding bed in the bedroom closet.

Our suite was on the second floor next to the reception facing the street but insulation is very good and even though the other 7 rooms were booked, we were never bothered by noise. The ceilings are high and hearing our upstairs neighbor walking didn’t bother us.

You can make unlimited calls to the United States and anywhere in Canada for free! There is also free voice mail. Wireless internet is also included and works like a charm.

In the kitchen you will find a clean full size stove with oven and 4 coils, a regular size fridge, a toaster, a kettle, a coffee maker, a large cooking pot, medium and small pots, a colander for pasta, dishes and utensils for 4 people, Chef knife, paring knife, potato peeler, cheese grater, can opener, wine bottle opener, cutting board, and a complete set of serving utensils.

There is replenished tea and coffee daily along with daily maid service, dvd’s at the reception, and anything else you might need is easy to find within a short walking distance. We were so impressed by the cleanliness of the hotel and the suite with the soft toilet paper and the Bounty paper towels! And of course the owner Turgay, Cinar and all the other employees who were so awesome making us feel like family; we didn’t want to leave. One week wasn’t enough and went too fast!

Whoever in some previous review wrote about cheap fixtures was definitely out to lunch. As Turgay responded, there is nothing cheap about Parc Suites. If the microwave and cupboards are too high for you, ask for a foot stool. Yes of course there are homeless people on the street outside but they are everywhere in big cities. I lived in the area a few years; I always felt safe and have such good memories. It is one of my favorite neighborhoods in Montreal.

Parc Suites will be our family and friends official pied-a-terre in Montreal from now on. The price, value and service are unbeatable. Can’t wait to go back!

I would like to thank you for your time and energy in taking the time to describe your experience and express your thoughts about our hotel.

It was a great pleasure to meet and accommodate you and your family. I really appreciate that you took time to write all the little details even a week after your departure.

I am kind of impressed that our guest took time to describe all the various amenities and room description details with such a meticulous manner.

This kind of descriptive feedback from guests that stay with us helps make other potential guests understand better the accommodating details of our hotel.

Over the years , I have built a personal relationship with my guests , I try to go out of my way to please and provide the best level of service that I could offer to each and every one of my guests, I do my best so there is no room for criticism, thus leaving a very minor gap for errors.

So, as our guest did it, if you book directly through our hotel website or call and book directly with the hotel, you will benefit from this booking in so many ways.

Booking directly through the hotel is both beneficial for the guest and for the Hotel, therefore In order to serve you better and increase the quality consistently we need you to book directly with us.

Payment for the entirely (room+ taxes) of your stay is processed upon check-in.

When our guests book directly through us, either by phone or through our website, we can guarantee to our guest the best rate possible and they could make the most of their reservation by also taking advantage of our free parking promotion.

So, in order to get the best rate and best room with best service book directly with the hotel.
Otherwise either room rates will go up slightly or we are going down slightly. in last 2 years 200 Hotel has been closed down in Quebec state. This statistic taken from Tourism Quebec.
I hope this information will be helpful as a consumer before you book your hotel room anywhere in the world.

The Parc Suites Hotel is the absolute best place I could have asked to stay for a weekend in Montreal. Turgay and the rest of the staff were extremely welcoming, and made me feel right at home. The rooms were spacious, clean, and comfortable, with quality amenities and appliances that were new. The balconies offered are a nice touch as well. Turgay could not have been a better host. As soon as I had gotten there, I knew I made the right choice of place to stay with my friends for a weekend in Montreal. The hotel itself is in a great location, as one can walk outside and within a few minutes be at a myriad of local cafes and other establishments, from coffee shops to grocery markets to restaurants and bars. If I ever make it back to Montreal, Turgay's Parc Suites will certainly be the place I choose to stay!
