The waiter/host was fumbling over his words and looked lost. The first entre that came was a piece of burnt toast with a chunky mushroom soup on top (which made for a soggy piece of toast) and on top of that a poached egg that was way undercooked (the white was still clear) and for reasons unknown the chef chose to add corn kernels to the mixture??! The risotto was made with long rice which made for a very odd texture - runny and very firm, the spices were right on though. As for the deer it was perfectly done and the blueberry sauce was good. The deserts - do not order the brownie!! Way too much sugar very little chocolate and for some reason the ice-cream seemed to have flower in it, same as the rest of the dishes it was off. For one of the few 4 diamond restaurants in Quebec, they won their 4 diamonds in 1996, seems to me as the chef has stopped caring and his peak is now very much over.
On a good note it is a very romantic atmosphere and very intimate; only 3 tables in the front room which had a large fireplace, the music was not too loud and was appropriate for the setting. Once we had paid we were left alone to talk which was nice not be rushed out of the restaurant.
The bill: expect about 200$+ for two.
