We came on a two day trip to Montréal with the kids, and our first stop was at the Cosmodome which is located in Laval Québec. We had done a bit of research on their web site which is quite good. We had planned to do one virtual mission, and the kids picked the Red Planet. It was really well done with a combination of video and computer simulations, including running around the room selecting components for a base station on Mars. A simulated drive on the surface with the Rover was also interesting given the time constraints that are imposed on your activity.
The regular exhibit is also very good, although not large. The true scale model of the planets is very well done. The exhibit also included some history including Newton and Galileo. We will be watching for more fun missions to do in the future.
