“Good hotel with poor breakfast”
Reviewed October 27, 2012

The hotel is located a few minutes by car from the centre. The room was clean. For people from Europe the breakfast was really poor - coffee, biscuits and boiled egg. It is good idea to eat in nearby restaurants... Hotel stuff was friendly, parking was for free.

Okay place - slightly on the expensive side, but we had a decent deal due to the corporate code available.
Lacks of knowing French can be an issue - but that's there for pretty much the entire QC province.
But on the whole - clean, comfortable, easily accessible.

My son and I spent one night here, and although I am not an unreasonably picky traveler, this did not meet my general standards.

The pros: very clean bathroom, functional though not deluxe rooms, easy to get to on major thoroughfare, free breakfast. Free wifi.

The cons: concave beds that smelled of cigarette smoke, a barely functional air conditioner that sounded like a jet-engine, blasé staff, overpriced for quality.

If I visited this town again, I'd look for something else.

I stayed here for a week on business.
SERVICE: The service from all staff was excellent. Everyone was friendly and helpful whenever I approached them. They were more than accommodating of any requests I made.
ACCOMODATIONS: The hotel and room were very clean and well maintained. The bathroom could use an upgrade but was spotlessly clean. The bed was slightly less comfortable than other Comfort Inns, but I had no trouble sleeping.
I did here some muffled noise in the evenings from adjoining rooms (mostly telephone conversations) but nothing else.
BREAKFAST: The breakfast they offered (included) consisted of cereal, toast, apples & bananas, hard boiled eggs , juice, coffee, tea and a small selection of other baked goods. Less of a selection than I've seen at other hotels, but adequate nonetheless. There is no place to sit in the breakfast room, so you must return to your own room but this was not a problem as the room had a mid size table as opposed to the usual desk. The hotel is located next to a well known breakfast chain so if you wanted a bigger breakfast it was close at hand.
LOCATION: The hotel is only a block from the major shopping mall and there are plenty of restaurants nearby. It is about a 5 minute drive to the waterfront.
OVERALL: Considering the low cost, I think this is good value.

This Comfort Inn was clean, comfortable and quiet. We were only staying for one night so didn't do a lot of research on it but it turned out to be exactly what we needed. We went to the front desk to ask where we could find a place for dinner and the guy at the desk gave us a couple of vouchers for a free glass of wine and sent us next door to a very crowded noisy but good food restaurant. It was great because being in the car all day, we didn't want to drive another mile! Breakfast was good. We had a pretty good choice of fruit, muffins, cereal, etc. and coffee. There was no place to eat so we took it back to our room which was fine because it was a big space with a fair sized table. All in all, this was good value for money

We had been there 3 times in pass seveal months. No complain but the breakfast, the room and everything were slightly below other Comfort Inns' standard.
