We were visiting PEI apparently after high season, but only by a week. We were leaving, via the Confederation Bridge, on Sunday. We wanted to have brunch. We set out , from the Cavendish area about 9:30 in the morning to do a bit of shopping. We discovered that most restaurants in the area stop service breakfast at 10 am., even on Sunday. Some local people directed us to the Loyalist Inn in Summerside. What a brunch we had. I was a good old fashioned brunch...breakfast food, cereals, bacon, sausages, fish cakes, an omelet station, etc. There was a prim rib station, a dessert station. The food was delicious. The serving staff were warm, friendly, efficient, especially considering that dining room was full and very busy. There was a kind of old fashioned feeling in the Inn, without it seeming neglected.
I was very impressed, will go back next time I am in PEI and will certainly recommend the dining room and the Inn, itself.
