The pilot house is Immediately adjacent to the Queue. The Pilot House takes reservations. The queue does not, but they share the same kitchen. No reservation was available but we sat down almost immediately next door. The food was very good at a fair price. The waitresses were so busy they were almost running. Nothing wrong here that a little more help wouldn't cure.

We could not get a reso at another very popular restaurant in Charlottetown on an evening we were visiting Charlottetown, we decided on taking a chance on Pilot House. We were very pleased to get a table in the pub side, we got there at the right time as it was very busy.(if we had a reso we could have had a table in the restaurant ) Pub was just fine, casual but still nice atmosphere- perfect for after a day sightseeing. What is nice is that the menu has pub options as well as ordering options from the finer dining menu.
The service was very friendly, prompt and professional. We shared two apps: the mussels and the lamb meatballs. Both were delicious especially the delicate, unique flavors of the meatballs.
I had the lobsters linguine which was fresh pasta and not too heavily sauced with a really good amount of lobster (as a lobster lover I am particular about portion generosity) It was simple and delicious. If I had to have one complaint I would say is the lobster although very fresh and tasty may have been tad overcooked which did not take away from meal. Other guest had the pork with scallop dish. Also got rave reviews, from presentation to portion to taste. This dish had very refined flavors for the foodie looking for fine dining tastes. We were too full for dessert ( too bad) but overall very satisfied and happy when we left.

Went with wife to celebrate anniversary as we were given a gift card. Had reservations but still waited 25 minutes. Wife ordered well done steak. How hard to you think that would be to screw up but she sent it back three times before there wan no redness in meat. No offer of another choice free dessert or discount. Poor service even given fact place was busy. Asked for manager but was told he was busy. We are fussy with our food but come on that was ridiculous.
