Wonderful Italian food - the spinach gnocchi a la gorgonzola (a special of the evening) was delish, as was the avocado salad! They had a lovely selection of Italian wines from a wine show that had been recently held in the city. The atmosphere is cozy, very "real," nothing too fancy. We mused that it felt like being in Italian restaurant like the ones you see on television, where a couple might have gone on a fancy date in the 1950s. The owner can be seen milling about, refilling water glasses and making sure everything is running smoothly. Good food and great character.
