Description: We are located at 2 Prince St. Wharf in historic Charlottetown, PEI. You cannot get any closer to the water with over half our dining area being over the water at high tide. Lobster On The Wharf specializes in a wide variety of seafood and has great options for the landlovers and kids as well. We have more outdoor seating than anywhere else on PEI. Lobster On The Wharf also does private functions and special occassions. With our adjacent seafood market the fresh seafood might as well be taken straight out of the sea or off the boat!

My wife and I were referered to this restaurant when we asked about a waterfront place to eat as we are from the prairies with no ocean view. The staff was fantastic and showed us how to eat the lobster. The view was fantastic. Food great. Service great. Price was pretold to us as it goes by the market price.

We were visiting Charlottetown from Texas and were looking for a nice restaurant by the harbor Lobster on the Wharf was just the place for us. The lobster, shrimp and crab cake combination was very good. My dad and brother preferred something other than seafood and there were several good options to choose from. We sat outside and had an enjoyable meal

We at Lobster on the Wharf appreciate you taking the time to write a review about your experience. We do pay as much attention to our non-seafood items as our seafood ones, so it is great to get feedback about them. We are also pleased that you enjoyed our build-your-own seafood platter.

Thanks,

Lobster on the Wharf was recommend by a local - we were skeptical because the restaurant is in a very touristy area on the waterfront.

We were greeted by the friendly staff and seated outside per our request. Our server was extremely nice and attentive. We ordered mussels with the white broth and our daughter ordered the fish (cod) and chips.
Our food came out promptly but the waitress noted that she put the wrong order in for the mussels (she brought out a red sauce order) and would be happy to correct it if we wanted. We decided to try them and were pleasantly surprised that the sauce wasn't too tomatoey. The accompanying garlic bread was nice with the sauce. Our daughter's fish portion was huge - enough for two people. It was crispy on the outside and perfect and moist on the inside.

Because of the order snafu, our server brought us a free slice of cheesecake. Nice gesture and much appreciated.

Don't let the touristy location fool you - this is a great spot to get seafood.

Thank you for writing a great review of Lobster on the Wharf on Tripadvisor. Here at Lobster on the Wharf we get our seafood from our seafood market that is in the same building as the restaurant. It simply cannot be gotten any fresher.

The food wasn't bad but it wasn't anything special either. Bread was plain boring dinner rolls from the grocery. It was too windy to sit outside but the views were nice.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review for Lobster on the Wharf. Sorry to hear that you weren't wowed, but certainly glad that you weren't disappointed. We are curious as to how you know where our dinner rolls come from. We get them delivered daily from a local bakery, not the grocery store. Hopefully if you come back to Charlottetown we can get another chance to impress you further.

Thanks,
Steven Larkin

Fun restaurant with a great outdoor deck. Varied menu, busy spot, and tasty drink menu. Chilly at night, but they will bring you a blanket if you ask!

Food was OK. We did the "create your own" meal wherein we got to chose a ton of seafood to make up a table full of shareable food including quahogs, lobster, crab cakes, scallops, and oysters (which came with a delicious wasabi sauce.. I need to find a recipe..). Lobster and scallops were a bit disappointing but the service was so lively and delightful that we didn't mind.

Dave, our server, was attentive and engaging. Working in hotels, I appreciate good service when I get it and I would like to recognize him as one of the best in the business. Ask to eat in his section - he will blow you away.
