The food is really good for a pub, but it is usually quite busy and can take a while to get your order.

It's a dirty pub ... some people in Charlottetown like to think it is more than a pub ... probably because they do not get off the island much to experience other good quality pubs. The food is pub food ... most of it is the pre-packaged kind. The beer is a little flat ... I ran into one of the Murphy boys at the George Street Inn (I had clients in town) and we were enjoying their cocktail hour (The George Street Inn is one of the better places to stay). I told my clients not to try the beer because it was always flat at the Gahan House. My comment was overheard by a Murphy (owner) who approached me and promised to look into it ... I haven't noticed a difference and I've been there twice since. Come-on Murphy boys ... clean up your restaurants and start giving people value for their dollar.

Your basic pub with spiffy enough decor to try to pass itself off as something a bit upscale. Wrong, the food's really blah and overpriced. But the beer is excellent locally brewed, with some nice varieties.

Have never experienced better service. Not in your face, and not too laid back, just perfect. The food was good for the price, not the best but better than average. Just as we were expecting.
