The Colonial Charm Inn is the BEST place to stay in PEI!! We love the rooms (we have stayed there every year for almost the last 10 years!!), we love the victorian decor of the Inn and the rooms are very spacious and comfortable (very comfortable beds). The breakfasts are ALWAYS wonderfully unique and tasteful.....they make their own bread and scones treats which are hard resist!!

The owners of the Inn are wonderful people full of life and provide a wonderful service they should be very proud of.

On our visit to PEI from August 8 - 11 we stayed at "The Colonial Charm Inn". It was everything we had read about on tripadvisor. The rooms were comfortable clean and quite. On our last night there, the Inn was totally booked and we did not hear other guests at all.

Shelly (the owner) was very hospitable, friendly and helpful as far as places to go and things to do. She would make suggestions as well as reservations and provide the maps required to get to where you wanted to go. The meals and treats at "The Colonial Charm Inn" were amazing.

We could literally walk to downtown Charlottetown in less than 10 minues. The resturants were plentiful and easliy accessable by foot from the Inn. One of our favouite places we ate as was The Pilot House. The Lobster BLT and sweet potatoe fries were delicious.

Our friends had never stayed at a B&B before and quite enjoyed their experience. We are definately planning on going back next summer and would not hesitate rebooking "The Colonial Charm Inn".

Our very first B&B experience and it was an all-out winner!!!! Our host, Shelley, is "born to the business" and she truly makes you feel welcome! Her love of the island comes through in her recommendations and hints about scenic day trips and places to eat and unique things to do on your stay. The breakfasts were superb and served in a beautiful dining room that encouraged conversation between tables - we met and shared stories with other guests each morning. The interior public spaces are original "19th. century amazing" and our room was very comfortable and well-outfitted. A computer and printer in the parlour and 24-hour tea and scones in the dining room added to the appeal of this former family home/business. We walked to the Charlottetown Festival Theatre (10minutes) and walked back along the Harbour Boardwalk. We were so impressed with the Colonial Charm that, before we checked out, we arranged with Shelley to return in late August for another stay!

My room was even nicer than the pictures on the internet indicated. I had a lovely 4 poster queen sized bed, with lots of cupboard and drawers, a mini kitchen and very nicely appointed compact bathroom. The breakfasts were delicious, creative and filling (hope you get to try the special candied bacon!), and there were always scones and coffee or tea any time one needed a snack. The owner, Shelley, was so friendly and helpful and enthusiastic about her city, and made great suggestions about where to go for delicious meals and maritime music. It was great to have the ability to use my computer, or the one from the B&B that had a printer connected. Too bad I didn't get to use the fitness room, but hated to take time from the sight-seeing and restaurant tastings!

Great B&B five minutes walk from downtown Charlottetown. The hostess (Shelley) was fantastic and extremely helpful with planning day trips etc. Everything was spotlessly clean and breakfasts were delicious. I wouldn't stay anywhere else!

Colonial Charm Inn has it all--quiet surroundings but close to attractions, atmosphere with character, service second to none (Shelley is host *extraordinaire* who goes above and beyond her call of duty), a breakfast to "brag on"--what more could I, as a weary traveller, ask for? Right from our very first experience at Colonial Charm Inn, my husband and I fell in love with this *charming* spot and we're so happy we chose to rest our heads here. Best Inn in Charlottetown!

The Colonial Charm Inn was definitely home away from home BUT gave me the pampering I definitely don't get at home! My room was spotless, and beautifully decorated, and the bed was so comfortable! Shelley (the owner) cooked amazing breakfasts for me each morning and I never had the same thing twice (not that I would have minded as it was all delicious!). Shelley and her husband Gary were excellent hosts, so friendly and knowledgeable and had great suggestions of where to go and what to do. Note to those planning on travelling to PEI...stay here for the whole trip and make day trips out around PEI because it takes no time at all to drive anywhere!
