Stopped in for breakfast and coffee. Limited choices but all sounded tasty and made choosing a challenge. Went with the b'fast frittata special, made fresh from scratch and served with toasted homemade bread and home fried potato. Excellent portions, served hot and paired with their fresh roasted coffee, made for a sumptuous meal. Deck was open and made a nice spot to enjoy the offerings. Service was friendly but attention to detail lacking, at least at this visit. Salt was added to meal and for someone who doesn't add salt, I prefer being asked or having salt and pepper at the table to season to one's preference. When b'fast served there was no homemade ketchup or jam/fruit compote accompanying. Guess I should have asked; would have made for a five star breakfast.

We stopped in for an espresso and it was great, so we went back for breakfast. We ate in the room upstairs, cheerfully browsing the great collection of magazines while we waited for our food. My husband had a terrific frittata with home fries and the house ketchup. I had the Acadian toast (the fruit compote doesn't photograph well, but it was delicious). The bread is truly excellent, the service helpful and the atmosphere conducive to lingering.

Great little place to have bumped into. After a wonderful breakfast (served all day) and delicious coffee, we learned from locals that it is the best coffee on the island. If you're a Starbucks fan, branch out and try this coffee - you won't be disappointed. And the food! High quality ingredients, freshly baked bread, creative fare. We went back every day during our stay - the lobster roll was great!

Stopped in for a quick coffee and decided to try the breakfast sandwich. Since they are prepared with fresh ingredients on site we had to wait a few minutes. The sandwich was well worth the wait! My wife and I ended up eating breakfast here everyday we were in Charlottetown. Sure the coffee chains can serve you faster but they can't touch the quality of Kettle Black.
