Wow, I just read the previous review and those folks must be accustomed to a VERY different lifestyle.

OK, I can see how the lack of Victoriana clutter in a heritage home can be percieved as sterile, but the fireplaces in the rooms, the wonderful bathtubs (you'll have to find out for yourselves!), the towels that were thicker and softer than those in any 4-star hotel MORE than make up for the absence of dust collectors as far as I'm concerned. And the charm of the wooden four-poster beds, the lovely quilts in each room? Nice touch. Very personal.

And once I sat in that dining room and experienced the delicious breakfasts they produced, I found it very hard to leave! Comfortable, attractive, peaceful and SO close to the downtown and the water walk. What a terrific place! I shall return and next time, I'll stay longer.

Thanks, Steve and Laura for a wonderful holiday experience!

We had the pleasure of spending two nights at the Snapdragon Bed & Breakfast in early Sept 2004. Our room was the Blue Room and was very lovely. The breakfast was definitely 5 stars and the company of the owners, Laura and Steve was wonderful. They have us lots of great hints for sightseeing, restaurants and shopping. They were very helpful.

We had our own personal veranda to sit and enjoy a glass of wine and enjoy the outdoors.

I would definitely make a trip back here and would not hesitate to recommend this lovely B&B to anyone looking for a very nice place to stay.

Thanks Laura and Steve for looking after us.

My husband and I stayed at the SnapDragon with our daughters and had a wonderful experience. We are seasoned travellers who have stayed in many top hotels in SE Asia, Australia and Canada. We have often been advised of a cancellation policy in many hotels.
The rooms in the Snapdragon were immaculately clean, very comfortable and beautifully decorated. Our girls loved their room under the garrett! Breakfast was served in a gracious dining room with china and silver and plenty of food for all.
The Snapdragon's central location makes going to see the Anne of Green Gables musical and many other tourist attractions an easy walk. There are many good restaurants nearby.
The Snapdragon is a great home away from home.
Thanks Steve and Laura!

We stayed one night at the Snapdragon B&B earlier this month. Good thing it was only one night, as we would have complained if it was more. The home is beautiful, clean and in a great location. Our complaint is from the breakfast - or lack thereof! We each received one glass of orange juice, coffee, about 1/4 cup of "homemade cereal" and one waffle. Other B&B's we have stayed at had an assortment of cereals, toast, juice and fruit, on top of the main hot meal served by our hosts. Eating off china & silverware was not necessary. Stay here if you are "upper class". You will fit in better than we did!

The Snapdragon B&B was a very pleasant surprize after a long day of travel. Beautifully decorated, gracious hosts, excellent breakfast the next morning, it certainly exceeded our expectations!

We recently spent a full week at my absolute favourite B&B in PEI, The Snapdragon in Charlottetown. We love it for a lot of reasons, one being its central location which allows us to walk to dinner in the evening. We'd stayed there two years ago and the place was as impeccable this time as it was then! Their super thick white towels are just one of the ways the Snapdragon manages to make you feel special. Laura and Steve are the most charming hosts you'll ever meet and have that wonderful Maritime warmth. As we were leaving too early to have one of their fabulous breakfasts on the day of our departure, they went out of their way to prepare us a breakfast snack to take along, including "to die for" homemade doughnuts, cream cheese and bagles and fruit! It doesn't get any better than this!

We found the Snapdragon B&B through the Charlottetown Visitor Information Centre and we were absolutely delighted with our choice. In four weeks of travelling through California and across Canada, The Snapdragon was our favourite and most perfect accommodation in every respect. The rooms are both comfortable and beautifully decorated and the bathroom was a delight. The hosts, Laura and Steve, are warm and welcoming and they get exactly right that balance between being unobtrusive but there to offer any help you might need. The Snapdragon has the feel of being a high standard boutique hotel but with the more intimate, smaller feel of a B&B. It is quiet and elegant and a truly relaxing place to be. The house is situated in a quiet, attractive street, right in the centre of town - so an easy walk to restaurants and shops. Guests meet in a very attractive, spacious dining room for delicious breakfasts prepared by the hosts. There was free internet access in the dining room. It was very hard to leave the Snapdragon and if we ever have the opportunity to return to beautiful Prince Edward Island we wouldn't want to stay anywhere else.
