What impressed me the most about the Fairholm Inn was that it was not only a beautifully restored historic home, but that it was comfortable, even cosy, with modern amenities. There was a little reading room where you could get ice or keep a couple of drinks cold in the bar fridge. We stayed in the Lucretia Starr suite; I loved the way it was designed, with a couple of steps separating the entrance, desk, and bathroom from the bedroom/living area. We also enjoyed sitting in the living room of the Inn on our last two nights, curled up on the sofa with our books. We drank hot chocolate we made using the coffee machine on the buffet table that was set up throughout the day with hot water and a selection of teas. Some other nice touches included a pair of wine glasses in our room, and the use of their PEI National Park pass. The Inn is in a great location, within walking distance of everything we wanted to see and everywhere we wanted to eat. Nicely representative of Charlottetown - historic and friendly!
