This was a very nice hotel .. breakfast was good, staff very nice and the location could not be beat.It is in the historic area, a few minutes from the boardwalk and yet very quiet. There is no need for a car here but just one FYI there are NO local buses running on Sundays...well, pretty much everything shut down on Sundays.

Room Tip: When booking online beware of places that say 'next to shopping centre' .. in the Maritimes this generally means huge malls on outskirts of town. I made that mistake here but thankfully was able to get out of my reservation and move downtown to the historic area and this hotel.

Thank you for posting your Hotel on Pownal experience on this site.

Our location is certainly a great starting point to explore our small historic City. Only minutes away from theater, shopping, Victoria Park, and the waterfront, yet located right in the middle of Downtown. What better way to be green than to park your car and forget it.

Though our Hotel is not located next to a mall, shopping is only a short distance away with many stores to choose from.

Thank you again for your stay and feedback and look forward to welcoming you back in the future.

I am happy to say our stay on July 5th weekend was very comfortable. There was some mix up with the double bed but front staff was very accomodating and went out of their way to provide all the options we can explore. We were provided extra room which was very nice gesture considering whole PEI was booked for music festival.

I was pleasently surprised to see Gluten free option in breakfast menu. We thoroughly enjoyed our short stay ... I wish we had more time in PEI.

Thank you leaving feedback in regards to your recent stay with us on this site.

We aim to make your stay a memorable experience and am happy to see that our staff members were able to accommodate your double bed request when you checked in with us.

As Gluten Free diets become more common, the Hotel has decided to offer gluten free bread, muffins, and cereals to our guests. Gluten free or not, no one will leave our Hotel feeling hungry.

I stayed here one weeknight in June on business. I held meetings in the hotel conference rooms over two days. The meeting rooms are well appointed with a variety of tech available. Rates were competitive and the staff was very helpful and went above and beyond. The hotel room itself was nicer than average and the breakfast had a good variety. Only a short walk to downtown attractions. I had a very positive experience and would definitely recommend to others.

I am also glad that you were able to take advantage of our convenient location and our inclusive deluxe continental breakfast.

We recently stayed here for 2 nights. The room was not overly large but we were just sleeping in it. The lobby is very welcoming and we really enjoyed the reception hour, wine and local beer were available. And the breakfast was very filling. We opted for the green package which gave us a $10 gift card to a choice of restaurants in the area. We will definitely be back

I appreciate you leaving your feedback in this site in regards to your stay with us.

Certainly great to see that you enjoyed our evening guest receptions. Showcasing our locally crafted beers from the Prince Edward Island Brewing Company is a wonderful way to spend an hour in the evening.

Our, "Greener is Cleaner" program is well received by our guests. Along with you declining housekeeping services for the day, giving a $10 coupon towards food and beverage at a Murphy Hospitality Group Restaurant is a great way to reduce our carbon footprint.

We stayed at this hotel while attending a conference at the Delta in June 2014. The location is excellent and within walking distance to many downtown attractions in Charlottetown. Although, this was not originally my first choice, it in the end proved to be a good one. Although, a coffee maker in the room would have been ideal, fresh coffee was avaliable down in the breakfast area. The complimentary breadfast was good, the room was comfortable, and hotel amenities (including a fitness room) met our needs. My wife, who had opportunity to explore the surrounding area more than I did enjoyed the location and found the room comfortable and quiet. The staff were courteous and very helpful. This place will be my number one choice for my next visit to Charlottetown.
