My husband and I had a wonderful stay at the Elmwood Inn. The hosts were warm and friendly and the breakfast each morning was absolutely delicious. Our rooms was clean, spacious and lovingly decorated. The spa tub in our room was an especially nice treat. I only wish it was a little but closer to downtown. However, it was only a five minute drive to the harbor front and downtown area which really was no big deal. By this point in our trip, our feet were pretty sore from so much walking already that we didn't mind the quick trip. Our host, Carol, was great with recommendations and directions. Everything she suggested was spot on and made for an excellent finale for our Maritme adventure.

Had a fantastic night at the Elmwood, the owners couldn't do enough for us - even offered to drop us off in town. We stayed in 'The Peake Suite' - it was very comfortable and clean, we wish we could have stayed longer.

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights in September. It was the best B & B we've ever stayed in. The hosts, Carol and Jay, are amazing, with helpful suggestions about where to eat and what to do all over the island. They will make reservations for you or help you get theater tickets. They really make you feel welcome, and want you enjoy PEI. Every room in the inn is beautifully decorated. The Elmwood is a historic property, furnished with antiques, but also updated to include modern amenities. The breakfasts were delicious. This inn is a bit of a splurge but well worth it. I give it the highest recommendation.

We had a very pleasant stay with Jay and Carol. The breakfasts were fabulous! We also got to watch a Japanese film group making a video during breakfast. What fun! Upon our arrival in a "once every other year" downpour, Jay met us at our car with umbrellas! We could not have asked for better accommodations or hosts. They even helped us get tickets to "Anne of Green Gables". The setting was lovely and tranquil.

The couple who own and manage the Elmwood are the most hospitable hosts we have encountered in decades of travel and staying in B & Bs. They are very knowledgeable about Prince Edward Island and eager to impart information and give tips. We mentioned that we might be interested in a beach visit and they took out their maps and shows us the options, then went in the back room and picked out two beach chairs and an umbrella "just in case" we needed them. A ceilidh, a restaurant, places to hike? They knew where the best ones were. They could talk about farm-raising of mussels, the history of their house, other good places to stay, etc. Their house is a beautiful, well appointed, and comfortable mansion in a quiet neighborhood. Free drinks in the fridge, snacks, glasses of wine, a vast collection of movies to view in your room. They really made us feel welcome. And the creative, home-made breakfasts were simply top notch, including fresh squeezed juice, fresh fruit, pancakes, fresh baked goods, or they would gladly prepare something else to your liking. Wow, this place met every test, and sets a new standard for other B & Bs.

A wonderful place to stay with wonderful hosts. Carol and Jay provided directions, suggestions, made reservations for us and were just generally all around gracious and knowledgeable and friendly hosts. Our family group of 4 stayed in the Peake suite which suited us perfectly. The Inn itself is very interesting. Breakfasts were delicious.

We have stayed at several B & B's, but this was the best! Jay and Carol were wonderful hosts and so friendly and accommodating. They recommended restaurants and places to see that were well worth the visits. Our room was so comfortable and quiet. The breakfasts were delicious and the home was beautiful and clean. We would definitely come back if the opportunity arises.
