“Great for Families”

A nicely renovated place. From the outside you would just keep driving... but inside its great. Modern rooms, waterslide for the kids... huge pool! Great breakfast... all in all a great place.

my wife and i stayed there for 2 nights. we were next to the ice machine and it was noise all night especially when the machine barely pumps out any ice. the breakfast was all over cooked. and messy in the restaurant with with all the people eating and not enough staff to keep onto of it. the hot tubs water was brown with scum ontop of it so we didnt go in that but the water slide was fun. felt like a kid again. but on the plus side the room was very clean and the bed was really comfortable.

I stayed here on a business trip in March. Rate was good, about $100 for loyalty program members. The room I was given was very nice, it appeared to have been recently renovated. Nice comfy queen bed, lots of pillows, LCD TV, fridge, coffee maker, etc. Only real concern was that despite the reno, the window was still a little old and drafty, but not a big issue. Nice complementary breakfast, fruits, cereals, eggs, etc. Close to UPEI, downtown, and the industrial park.

We (husband, four children and I) checked into the hotel on Mar 30 for two nights. When I made reservations, the Family Suite was suggested to me for a price of $155 per night, which was very reasonable. The Family Suite is about the size of two regular rooms. You walk into a living room with a pull out sofa, a fat screen tv, a fridge and microwave and a couple of chairs. Behind the living room is a bedroom with bunk beds and another flat screen tv. To your right of the living room is the second bedroom with two queen beds. The bathroom is behind this bedroom. There are also two closets in the room. The living room and the second bedroom look out onto the hotel's enclosed courtyard where meetings/trade shows and impromptu hand hockey games take place.

The rooms were modern and clean (one stain on the floor in front of the fridge which I'm thinking is red wine, but that didn't bother any of us). Lots of bathroom amenities, a window that opens in the bathroom, and plenty of room for six people.

The kids enjoyed te pool area, especially the waterside. We couldn't find the towels on our first trip, and when I asked another parent on our second trip to the pool, I found out that you had to pick them up from the front desk, which seemed a little odd.

The free breakfast was good. The first morning we went down at 7:00 when it opened and had the place to ourselves. The second morning we went down at 9:30 and had a hard time finding a seat. The food was low on the second day (a sign on the juice machine stating the orange juice was empty). But to be fair, there were a number of hockey teams staying there and they probably we're down before us.

The restaurant had a pasta buffet the first day we were there and others who ate there said it was fantastic.

Our only problem with the stay was a plugged toilet the first day. Housekeeping came to fix it and it was the very same the second day. When I told the front desk about this while checking out, the person next to me had the same issue with her room.

Also, the hotel has two parts to it; the new and old part. If you are in the old part, there is no access to the second floor via the elevator. You must use the stairs.

We will stay at this hotel again if we need a room while in Charlottetown.

I recently spent some time at the Rodd Royalty Inn and was very happy with my accommodations. The pool and area was very clean, freshly painted and most importantly the children LOVED the water slide (as did us adults). My suite was impressive, newly renovated, spacious and the beds were very comfortable. Great workout room with state of art equipment. I would definitely recommend this place and would gladly there again.

The hotel room was clean. Washroom basic and decent. Served good breakfast in the morning. There was a mall walkable distance from the hotel, but away from downtown and attractions. Decent place to relax. Would prefer a more central place next time. Good place for the price paid.
