“Tasting menu is outstanding. First class dining experience.”
Reviewed July 1, 2014

Dining experiences are a key aspect of travel and we try to seek out top restaurants when visiting. We have eaten at some great restaurants throughout the world but Lot 30 remains a favorite. We recently enjoyed the 5 course tasting menu with wine parings. This takes all the stress our of decision making and is a wonderful option. Every course was unique, thoughtfully designed, used fresh local ingredients and excited our taste buds. We enjoyed watching the monitor which displayed the food plating area. The wine parings were very nice. The food portions were substantial yet we felt comfortable after the meal. You know you have had a great dining experience when days later you can remember every course you atel. It is obvious that Chef Gordon Baily is passionate about his profession. This restaurant needs to be on every serious foodies' bucket list.

“LOT 30 Charlottetown PEI”
Reviewed July 1, 2014 credit card Amex Card Member Review

Superior restaurant. Low-key but with elegant, sophisticated ambience.
Menu changes daily. Chef Gordon is self-taught and is very adventurous in food combinations.
Friendly, professional, but unobtrusive service.
Reasonably priced wine list.
You may watch your food being plated on a screen over the bar, - if that turns you, that is!

“Gastronomic experience”
Reviewed June 28, 2014

Extremely attentive and delicate service. We had the tasting menu and the wine paring. Every dish was worth it.
Very interresting options in the menu à la carte as well.
For fine palets, this place would be my first choice.

“Superb dining in Charlottetown”
Reviewed June 11, 2014

Without a doubt the best restaurant in Charlottetown!!
As residents of PEI we have the opportunity to dine in many establishments on the island and lot 30 is without question the best restaurant in town. The menu is incredibly creative and the execution of each dish is outstanding. Portion sizes are perfect and served at perfect temperatures. The most remarkable aspect is that the prices are in line with most other establishments but superior in experience. Excellent wine list to complement your dinner.
The only negative comment I would make is that the head server should tone down a bit the familiarity approach with the patrons which would be fine in a themed family restaurant but slightly overwhelming in this establishment.
this restaurant truly deserves five stars!!

“A lovely restaurant with fabulous food cooked by an innovative chef”
Reviewed June 9, 2014

Sometimes you are enjoying your journey so well, and, in this case, in Charlottetown, and traveling around Prince Edward Island, consistently eating wonderful fresh fish, lobster, haddock, halibut, sea bass, lobster, oysters, clams, and mussels , as I reported in my reviews, that nothing could top that. However, I am glad to be wrong. We enjoyed one of the better meals I have ever experienced, whether it be in New York, San Francisco, Paris, London, Sydney or Hong Kong. We were directed by a culinary student Shawn who we meet while eating lobster to Lot 30. He was correct. The food was cooked superbly, and done in a manner that showed the hand of a very thoughtful and perceptive chef. The food was fantastic, and for example, let me tell you about two dishes. The halibut fish cake is a fabulous dish, which is a fish cake, really a "brandade" using, often some potatoes as a binder, and the raw cauliflower tartare sauce that has the correct crispness and tangy tasty that is terrific. The second dish, which is fabulous is the seared atlantic halibut, on a bed of spinach, served with watercress and small white potatoes and oyster mushrooms. Now, the halibut was beautifully cooked, moist, tender, with a lovely browning down to the fish...and how it is done is helpful, if you cook. Depending upon the thickness of the halibut steak, 20 seconds for each 1 inch, you place the steak in very hot olive oil (not, as I had thought, hight temperature grapeseed or safflower oil, for about 30 seconds. You remove the fish, and let it rest for five minutes, which allows the finishing of the cooking. Then you turn the fish over with brown side on top, and place it on the bed of steamed (?) spinach. Just awesome. Enjoy this restaurant owned by the chef and his wife, who is out front, charming, and always busy. The wait staff is knowledgeable, friendly, and really make the dinning experience just grand.
