On first glance the place does not look like much. In fact I would not have known it was even a restaurant. Luckily our traveling companions have been here before and we followed them in. It's quite small but very funky. The staff are very welcoming and accommodated the 6 of us quite quickly. The whole reason for the place is the seafood - but they do offer some other things for the seafood haters in the crowd. We fortunately, were not that kind of crowd. Bring it on! And do they ever!! We had a variety of dishes, from fish & chips (excellent and fresh!), clams & chips (also excellent), scallops (excellent - what else?) and the lobster dinner (most excellent) and the Water Prince platter which was sort of everything on one platter. With each lobster dinner you could get either chowder or mussels as a starter - the chowder is divine - and the mussels were VERY plentiful and amazing. They are almost a meal in itself! The lobster is offered at 1#, 1 1/4#, 1 1/2#, 1 3/4# and I believe 2#. The one pound is quite enough for the 'normal' appetite especially with the starter. Good food, great fun (the staff even provided us with wacky hats for photos!) and you won't be disappointed. Don't let the outside fool you. Go in and ENJOY!

Our tour guide recommended this place for PEI mussels and we weren't disappointed! The place was clean, service was efficient and fast. Four of us shared 2 bowls of mussels as a snack before heating back to our cruise ship. Each bowl had a large portion - delicious with drawn butter - and reasonably priced. This restaurant was only a block or two from the cruise ship and easily gotten to. I highly recommend this place!

This is my favourite restaurant in Charlottetown. The fish is so fresh and served with homemade fries, my husband loves the chowder, mussels and other seafood choices, the servers are the friendliest around and it is such a friendly atmosphere. Make reservations, it's always busy, a reflection of the fantastic food

I don't think there is a bad meal in this place. I have had plenty of Seafood and this is one of the best anywhere..... It is a small quaint friendly place that makes you feel at ease and enjoy the food is a very relaxed atmosphere.

We had Sand Dune (Not sure if this is the right name) oysters and lobster. The Oysters were creamy and fell apart in your mouth. They are not on the menu so ask for them! The lobster was excellent as was the chowder.....
Service was attentive but not pushy. Although a small place they didn't push you out the door.

Looking forward to my next trip to the area and this will be a must do..... probably more than once!

This corner diner isn't your usual quaint corner restaurant. This is the real thing when it comes to seafood quality, service and demand. You need a reservation believe it! select anything from the menu and it is guaranteed fresh and delicious. Over two evenings last week, we had the chowder, two dozen Malpeque oysters, the fish and chips dinner, the salmon dinner, and, the grilled scallops. There was nothing we didn't enjoy; we savoured every bit of each meal sharing as we do the ensure we can taste and test and compare. You need to add the Water Prince to your planned stops in Charlottetown. And we had them box 10 live lobsters with cold packs for the flight the next morning. They do ship for the holidays even though the restaurant itself is open only through the busy spring summer and fall tourist season. It is a 5 minute walk from the cruise ship landing so do make a reservation!
