We stayed for 3 days in Sept at the end of our 2 week trip and we were glad we ended our stay there. The place feels light and airy. Great homemade pastries and cake everyday. Nice extended continental breakfast. Rooms are big and clean.

The best part is the staff who are genuinely friendly and warm.

Thank you so much for choosing us for your final stay! We were very happy to host you and are pleased that everything was to your liking. Our staff has a great amount of affection for their island home, and we are pleased that that was apparent. We hope to see you again!

We found this property how we would like all properties to be. Warm welcome, friendly and a feeling as if you were in your own home. A kitchen where you could help yourself to drinks and the daily fresh cooked baking, towels on the sideboard to take to the beach. No lining up for towels or deposits. Breakfast was very nice with good selections, but topped off with a young lady playing quietly in the background - such a nice touch. Rooms were good size and very clean. Stairs were not a problem and laundry was in constant use so pretty busy around 4.pm onwards. Handy to walk to centre of everything but in a lovely quiet residential area. I rate this very highly.

This place was within walking distance of the downtown. It is in the quiet residential area. The rooms were large and very clean. Loved the breakfast and free parking. The staff wanted to make your stay just like home.

We visited here for three nights this past week with my sister and her husband who are over from the UK. Our arrival time was about 7:30 pm in the Sunday night. We had booked two rooms in mid May. On check in my sister had the twin bedded room we had booked assigned to her. My wife and I were told we were getting the last room but it had been upgraded to a suite.
The suite turned out to be a small double bedroom (#13) with another larger room that was uncomfortably furnished with very old and tired furniture. All the light switches in the rooms were on the wrong inside side of doors, the electric outlets were mainly unusable as even the weight of a small USB charger made the socket release its load. The water temperature in the bathroom was dangerously hot and there was no scald guard on the faucet outlet. At least the bed was comfortable.

The staff were friendly and the young man who came to replace a malfunctioning hair dryer in an effort to be welcoming told us "oh yes we know about the problems with the outlets".

My sister and her husband were satisfied with their room. And we all thought the continental breakfast was fine.

To their credit the staff having heard some of our complaints earlier did reduce our bill by 10% at check out. They told us that they had only just started to use room 13. I think that it's commissioning was far too early and that it should be taken out of service until such time that the whole space has been remodeled and refurnished. If they offer you room 13 go look at it first would be my advice.

Room tip: Inspect room before completing check in

This place is wonderful. It is very conveniently located in central Charlottetown to sights, restaurants, and shopping. It is a lovely heritage building, and the staff go out of their way to make you feel welcome and looked after. The room was lovely, there is a kitchenette for guest use, and laundry facilities are available. This is a great base for visiting Charlottetown.
