We stayed here 5 days and enjoyed it very much. The room was large, comfortable clean and spacious. The breakfast was very good - alternating choices of French toast, waffles, pancakes, eggs benedict, omelettes in addition to fruit and the other stuff. 24hr coffee/tea kitchen. The location is super - on a quaint street downtown within walking distance of all the restaurants, shopping, art gallery, etc. The parking lot was "tight" but other B&B's on the street had "on street" parking, so this was a good feature. The only reason we did not give it 5 stars was that the hallway carpets were stained and badly in need of replacement. (The carpet in our room was clean and looked fairly new)
Compared to other Charlottetown hotels, the price was very reasonable.

Room Tip: We stayed on the second floor to avoid people overhead. I heard someone on the third floor occasiona...

We had no idea how fantastic Charlottetown would be. There's plenty to do, and staying at the Sonata Inn had just topped it off for us.

The rooms were clean and spacious. A family of four fit perfectly in the room. The breakfast was perfect as well.

The Sonata Inn was spotlessly clean and in a great location with a short walk into town. The bed was the best bed I've EVER slept in with beautiful sheets. Free tea and coffee and $1soft drinks are available 24/7. Breakfast was good too. Would stay again in a heartbeat.

The location is only a couple blocks from the main street (Queen). We had the suite and it was huge and very comfortable. Fully equipped kitchen, large living room, would stay at again for sure. Price was less then most other places and you get a lot more...

Room Tip: get the suite

My husband & I stayed at the Sonata Inn for 5 nights & found it great. The room was large & comfortable, breakfasts were great, service excellent. So nice to be able to walk to the downtown area for sight-seeing & restaurants. Our only complaint was the temperature of the dining room. We found it very warm. Also, to control the air conditioner in our room, we had to stand on a chair.

We arrived in Charlottetown later than expected and later than the Inn's usual 9pm deadline, but when we called, they arranged to have someone ready to check us in. She was friendly, cheery, and helpful. It was a nice welcome to PEI after a long day driving. Other staff were also very nice the next 2 days. Overall, the Inn was very nice. Our room was good. Beds comfortable, nice shower, nice TV. The dining room was very quaint and comfortable. Breakfast was nice. The Inn is very convenient to historic, downtown Charlottetown and that made a big difference for us.

Stayed 2 nights in July. Small but very nice room. Recently redecorated - fresh paint and very clean. Good bed. Room AC available if needed. It is operated more as a small inn than B&B. Staffed by college-age young people rather than a host couple. Operated jointly with sister unit 2 doors away. Provided library/computer room with free internet and WiFi in room. In-room phone indicated free calls anyplace in US or CA, but system was not working. Guest "break room" with refrigerator, soft drinks, water & coffee available for purchase on 2nd floor. Food good but not on level with typical B&B. Very convenient to city attractions, shops & restaurants.
