“Interesting History but unguided”
Reviewed August 23, 2011

This attraction was very interesting and the guards were helpful, but it was disappointing there was no guided tour - it would have only taken 15 minutes.

“A must see”
Reviewed July 27, 2011

I highly recommend a visit there. In the gardens, there are actors who portray a game of cricket. They interact with tourists and provide us with information about the game and how life was in the 19th century. Once in the building, you can learn about the birth place of Canada.

“Very interesting”
Reviewed July 7, 2011

A double attraction here as you can see both the current PEI legislative assembly room and the room where the Charlottetown conference was held, paving the way for Confederation and the birth of Canada as a nation. An interesting film explains what happened at the conference and reenacts parts of it. Lots of helpful guides on hand to answer any questions you may have. A very enjoyable visit.

“Conference site toward the unification of Canada”
Reviewed July 6, 2011

This is the site of the conference, 1864. Members of this conference cam to negotiate just how Canada would form. Interesting film and displays. Recommended for those that like history.

“the beginning of a nation”
Reviewed July 20, 2010

This is where a historic meeting took place in the 19th century and led to the forming of a nation. One can wander through the hallways and view the rooms which are furnished in 1800s style. There is a short film which is very interesting and explains what happen at the meeting that eventually led to the emerging of Canada as a nation.
