“Good place to eat but not the greatest.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 4, 2013

The meals were well prepared but a little on the pricey side, with smaller than what you may expect. The service was only average and the night we were there the staff spent most of their time chatting with each other. This may have been due to t he fact that we were quite early and they weren't very busy.

“You can do better!!”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 2, 2013 via mobile

This place has a nice, fun environment and is decent on all accounts. But there's nothing special here. The beer menu is terrible. They only serve the bland, big name brands which personally, I don't enjoy. The oysters are good, but they're not a feature of the place despite it being an oyster bar! We're going to try some other places and I'm sure we can do much better!

“Nice spot with great oysters”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 2, 2013

We are huge oyster fans. Where better to get fresh ones than in PEI. Claddagh did not disappoint. We had 5 types of different oysters that were all briny and delicious.

What we did not expect was the mains to be so good. We had a lobster and pork belly tart!! WOW For my last meal on earth lobster and pork come to mind. This was prepared very well. Super tender pork belly with a maple glaze with a small tender lobster tail on top with a creme fraiche sauce....fantastic.

We also came to PEI for some lobster. However we did not find a review that we liked and several people had bad experiences at some of the "lobster supper" places.

We asked the waitress and she assured us we would have a good one. She was right, we selected a 3 lb one to share and it was perfectly cooked (steamed) not over cooked and rubbery, perfect. The claw meat was unbelievable, tender sweet...delicious!!

I need to mention the date cake!!! My wife is not a big desert person and I had to talk her into trying a taste since we were stuffed from the lobster. This was a mistake, I did not get another taste. She said the wiskey sauce was orgasmic!! Enough said.

Another great experience in PEI. This is a small place so I recommend a reservation. BTW if you think it is a pub...the pub is upstairs separate from the restaurant.

The last thing was the service, our waitress could not have been more helpful or more friendly. They were out of the wine I wanted however she gave us a bottle worth $20 more for the same price as I ordered.

We will be back here for sure.

“Great place, worth visiting.”

Correctly called "Old Dublin Pub" I believe. 2 or 3 separate floors. Fine dining on one floor. Fun, casual, authentic type fun on upper level with traditional folk entertainment. Very good musicians the night we were there. Good food. Would recommend. Not too touristy.
