“Good food, great spot”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 20, 2013

Went here on a business trip to Windsor, great laid back atmosphere, outdoor patio would be good in the summer. Wait staff friendly and knowledgeable. Small but good menu, local wines and beer. Made the mistake of ordering too much - 2 appetizers and a salad. the "scotch eggs benny" clever and perfectly cooked, the fritters good, both good sizes and filling. the cobb salad large and excellent. They packed it up for me to take back without blinking. A single diner made welcome. Well done.

OK real talk, the food is handmade with love and the drinks are caressed with a local touch. Also one of the best bars my bumpy elbows ever laid their soare wings on.
Keep up the fantastic work and I'll keep drinking that IPA.

“Small menu, well executed”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 4, 2013 via mobile

Had lunch here a three times over the last couple months and enjoyed it every time. If the helping size determines value for you then you are not likely going to be impressed. If you prefer food quality you probably will be. Nothing has disappointed so far.

“Delicious...but not blown away.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 26, 2013

Went recently on a Sunday. A few tables were occupied around 6 p.m. on a Sunday. Pretty much dead. Ambiance was inviting, aside from Beck and other alternative tunes blaring a bit too much for an early evening...
I don't know if this place is trying to be an upscale bistro, a diner, or hipster hangout, but nonetheless, I went along for the ride...

Server approached the table rather casually. She was pleasant. Water was served in an glass milk jar (quirky, unique), a glass filled with ice cubes was placed in the center of the table with a spoon...Interesting feature. We had to inquire about specials and recommended dishes. She recommended the lamb burger and some small plates.

The menu appeared to be a little frustrating. $6 sandwiches, $10 salads, small plates $8-12 and a cut of prime strip for $28? Interesting dichotomy. When you order a burger, you get a burger. No garnish, no nothing. Warning: this place takes "ala carte" seriously. According to our server, the owner encourages "family style dining". So, now we're talking close to $30 per person/plate. Okay, after all it is Olde Walkerville...

The beet salad and lamb burger was delicious. Others had burgers and their chicken salad. The food was good, period. However the flow, menu, waitstaff and ambiance need a few tweaks.
