Had the fortune of stumbling on this gem during a recent business trip to the Windsor Ontario region. It is a quaint intimate establishment in the basement of, what look to be an old historic building. Service was very efficient and helpful.

But the food was the star. Most entrees are around the $20 range but include a great homemade Caesar salad, your entree and a side of the house pasta. I had the mixed grill, a combination of tenderloin, spicy Italian sausage and lamb on a skewer, with onions and peppers. It was grilled to perfection and was great with the above mentioned pasta.

Would go again if I return to this area.

Well trained chef from Italy has been cooking up a storm over open fire for years. Exceptional value for the money.

We had dinner at the Cook’s Shop Restaurant before seeing the Terry Fator show at Casino Windsor. The restaurant is very close to the casino. I made reservations since it was during the holiday and glad I did. Within 30 minutes of the restaurant opening they were already packed. The food was wonderful and service was great. We plan on going back in the near future and taking our children with us.

We travel over theAmbassador Bridge to get to the restaurant. We usually go for someone's special day to make it an occasion. We generally have reservations for five o'clock so we are able to get home in daylight. The manager knows us by name after having gone there for about twenty years. The big Romaine salad is fresh and delicious. Main courses are excellent and often cooked in front of us by the owner. This is my favorite place to go for excellent food. The owner is also honest to a fault. One time he returned $100 to us when we overpaid. He called my son on the telephone and explained what had happened. Now that is a principled man.

Small restaurant in the basement of a building on Ouellette Ave. It's dark and private, the owner is always there. The Salad is excellent, I like the Lamb Chops grilled over charcoal and the pasta prepared at tableside. An experience that will last a livetime.
