“So good!”
Reviewed March 11, 2013

We chose to go to dinner here on a Tuesday night because we liked what we saw on their menu online. The three of us had the Irish Stew, the Steak & Mushroom Pie and the Bangers Beans & Mash. We were not disappointed!

“Decent pub in this area”
Reviewed February 25, 2013

Surprisingly enough, decent food although not always consistent. However, that being said don't forget this is a pub....with a pub menu.... and pub prices. And the prices are very good when related to the portions and quality of the food. Certainly much better than most pubs around and in particular those generic "Pubs-in-a-Can". Specials are usually fresh but it is mixed with a lot of processed food. I personally would like to see homemade style french fries versus frozen and also some of the wings and chicken tidbits are a bit too processes for my liking. But again, nothing to really complain about. The services is usually very very good unless they get very busy but again, this is typical. I prefer off-nights where I can relax at the bar, have a nice pint or two and chat with the bar staff. They are friendly, ready and willing to please in any way possible and makes you feel right at home. After only two trips, they had already memorised my order for a libation. The decor is typical pub style and can get loud on a busy night. Locally, it is now my go-to place for a decent meal, a cold one or two and a relaxing chat with the staff and other patrons.

“Not too bad but a/c wasnt working”
Reviewed July 15, 2012

Went to the Galway based on one review from another site and good location to meet friends. Parking around the area was free after 6pm which was nice. Unfortunately, their a/c was not working well and we suffered a bit from the high temperature. We were able to move nearer to the a/c outlet which helped a bit but they sure could have put in some stand up fans to help with the air circulation. Anyways we stayed for dinner and drinks. Service was quite good as the two key servers worked together as a team and this seemed to work well. Drinks arrived cold and quick and were good; prices seemed decent/average for a Toronto bar and food prices were very good. Typical pub atmosphere and lots of seats for an early Saturday evening. A band was to start at 9pm but we didnt want to stay that long. Food was good to average, wings were quite good and meaty but roast beef sandwich was just average. Salad seemed fresh and portions were average. We would probably try this place again but not in the summer heat unless we were to sit on the patio which looked decent but smallish.

“Good Old Fashioned Food”
Reviewed September 12, 2011

If you want a good old traditional home-cooked style meal, this is the place to go! Not a lot of selection, but the dinners that are available are great! Roast beef, ham and cabbage, fish and chips, chicken fingers, wings, caesar salad...all A-1! The Roast Beef is simply the best "home" cooked meal that I have ever had in a restaurant. It comes with lots of carrots and turnips as well as potatoes and gravy. Members of my family rate the chicken fingers a 10 out of 10! Lots of great beer on tap too, and friendly wait staff make this a favourite destination of ours on a Sunday.
