Went here with a group. Made a reservation in advance, but the last minute addition of a guest screwed up the original reservation. Still the restaurant was accommodating. Beer list amazing. Mussels (several choices) were fantastic. French fries (in duck fat) awesome! All in group raved about their food. Waiter was not consistent, but he was friendly and also was obviously serving a lot of people. Unless you time it right, this does not seem to be a good place for a business meeting, intimate conversation, or a romantic date because of the noise level and cramped quarters. Nevertheless, I really liked this place and strongly recommend it.

Hadn't been to Beer Bistro in a few years and I forgot how good it was! We ordered cocktails, though their beer selection is unparalleled in my view. I ordered the short rib pizza and it was delicious. Definitely a great place for after-work drinks.

I have been coming here a couple of times a year for several years now to catch up with old work mates. We had been roving round to different spots in the city but settled on this place because of the beer experience. Do yourself a favour and put yourself in the hands of your server. Be adventurous. They will ask a few questions and then let them suggest something new and different. We have rarely been disappointed. The beer menu is always changing so lots of options.
Food is reasonable and yes, it can get noisy inside. Tip: when open, we always opt to sit in the outdoor patio for a more pleasant atmosphere for conversation.

This is one our favorite restaurants when dining downtown, or before a game or show in its convenient downtown location. Love the lively ambience, the beer tasting, and the moules friites is definitely worth ordering! Great place to impress your date!

We had lunch at the Beer Bistro and were very impressed with the food. My friend and I both had the bistro salad, and the steak frites. House salads are often just leafy greens, but this was carefully prepared with some nice additions like crisp green beans and roasted beets on the side. The steak frites were also very good, cooked just right. What was weird about the service was that it just seemed to stop after our entrees were finished. It was a busy lunchtime, but our server just disappeared and we sat for some time with our empty plates in front of us. We finally asked someone for coffee, and our server then came and cleared our plates, didn't offer dessert, which we also had to ask for. I'd definitely go back, but perhaps later in the day to avoid the rush. It's a busy, noisy place but the atmosphere was friendly.
