“Great eats for cheap”
Reviewed October 24, 2012 via mobile

We have been going to this place for years. The food is fresh and tasty and you always get great portions for the price. This is the perfect stop after a late night. Try the veggie plate which you can load up with all sorts of choices.

“Great, tasty, fast value around-the-clock in The Annex”
Reviewed April 8, 2012

The irresistible smells pull you in no matter how fast you try to dash by on Bloor Street (right next to the Bloor Cinema) late at night, and before you know it, you're inside ordering the chicken pita and beet salad, with the happy Muslim ladies flirting away behind the insanely busy counter. While prices in the Annex have risen steeply, Ghazale still provides great bang for the buck, and as it was back in our student days, those in the know are aware that a few friendly words to the kitchen staff will often result in your pita being padded quite a bit extra with tasty treats that you valued just as much in your starving student days. I usually get the 3-salad combo so they'll thrown in fairly significant size portions of your choices of lima beans, tabouleh, beets (did I mention this was my fave?? :-))... there are many other selections as well, even fresh-squeezed juices and desserts, but most go there for the working person's pita, and it never disappoints. A stacked pita sandwich with turnips, chicken and tons of garlic sauce is truly hard to beat. Treat yourself one late night on Bloor when no one's watching. Dare to sit on the bench outside for a good whiff of the Annex wildlife passing by.

“Good bang for you buck!”
Reviewed January 30, 2012

We've been eating here for the past few years. It's cheap and delicious! The Hummus, Tabbouleh and toppings are fresh and they really pack the pita full! You can get pretty much any combination you want. I also enjoy an order of the Lima Beans in tomato sauce. Everything we've every ordered from Ghazale's has been tasty and on the cheap. Daily specials are usually around $4.00 for a pita/wrap. Well worth it and we keep going back for more!

I ordered veggie plate. They put chicken in it. When I complained, they just picked some of the chicken out and gave it to me like that. Will never eat there again.
