This little hole in the wall in the heart of Chinatown doesn't look like much from the sidewalk. You can see the cooks rolling the dough and making the dumplings from the front window. We ordered several #1 specials, 15 hand-made pork & chives dumplings to take back to the hotel to eat. You have to wait about 5-10 mins while they make them fresh. They smell so good, we ended up eating them all as we walked back to the hotel. Had to go back the next day to buy more of them. Don't let the outside appearance turn you away. This is a great little restaurant.

Went here after the Jays game. It was a hole in the wall little place that serves great food. The dumplings were amazing. I wish I knew about this place our first day in Toronto. We got a to go box, planning on eating them in the hotel, but they were so tempting that we went to CN tower and finished them on the benches by the Rogers Centre.

We found this place on TripAdvisor and thought we would check it out. The Dumpling House is a tiny restaurant wedged in the heart of Toronto’s Chinatown. Just by peering into the front window, we saw cooks rolling tiny pieces of dough and stuffing them with bits of vegetables and meats. The restaurant was packed with people when we arrived. My husband and I ordered three different kinds of dumplings and fried rice. We both thought the food was outstanding and well priced too!

Just came across the Dumpling House while walking Chinatown. Excellent! Very inexpensive and lots to choose from. Very busy during the lunch hour. Not much to see from the outside, just the 2-3 cooks preparing dumplings, but quite nice inside.

Ok they cook the dumplings in the front window of the restaurant. It looks like a dump, dirty looking windows, small store front among other small dirty looking buildings. You walk in and go to rear pf store for restuarant area.

This is where it gets better. Sitting area is clean and set up well. The food is super. Don't buy too many portions, they bring a lot. The dumplings are super. Fresh, good tasting. Order two different flavours, and enjoy, service is just ok.
But go for the food, ot was super!
