Well summerlicious is in full swing and I don't usually write reviews but after my experience here I just needed to rave about it. Started off with spicy Asian salad that was fresh and scrumptious. For the second course had the Miami ribs which had my taste buds dancing. Ending with a dessert that was visually appealing as tasty. Chocolate banana spring rolls with gelato. This is by far one of the best dining experiences I have had in awhile and definitely will make a repeat visit. Thank you kultura for an enjoyable dining experience! Keep up the good work.

We finally went to Kultura a week ago to try it out since so many of our friends are raving about it. Now we too are raving about it. The tastiest food you could imagine. We could not believe how good almost all the dishes were. Try the margarita Naan, Ahi Tuna Cornets, Tacos,

Mushroom Orecchiette, Lamb and Lava cake to finish it off. You will be amazed. Great Job Kultura and a very nice and friendly staff. Can’t wait to go back.

Kultura is under new management. We found this out when we asked the waitress why the food had taken a downhill run. The appetizer, duck confit ravioli, was greasy - its dipping sauce, tasteless. The mains, mushroom orichette and Arctic char were okay; the orichette perhaps a bit too oily. The high-lite was the sauce that came with the panna cotta for dessert. But just when things were beginning to look up, our other dessert, doughnut holes, which used to come with a wonderful dipping sauce, arrived sauce-less. It reminded me of Timbits, 5 of them in total. Okay if you're grabbing a snack at Tim Horton's, not so good if you're dining at Kultura. The cappuccino was thin and flavourless and was more latte-like than what we ordered. I had to wonder how this all could have transpired. Did the new owners, perhaps, like eating there, so they bought the place, got rid of the chef, and then expected everything to be just as it was? I guess I'll never know. Oh, we were two of only four people in the dining room; all of us far too old the for the hip-hop or whatever it now might be called, but the noise blasted from the stereo just the same.

I made reservations for my husband and I at Kultura for a Tuesday night at 8:00 PM for a birthday dinner. We were pleasantly greeted at the front by the hostess, who hung our jackets for us and showed us to our communal table on the first floor of the restaurant. She informed us that it was Taco Tuesday, which meant $3 gourmet tacos, $5 beers, $5 margaritas and $3 tequila shots! In fact, we found out that Kultura offers a special every night in the lounge. Martini & Oyster Mondays, Taco Tuesdays, Wine Away Wednesdays and Thursdays are Bring Your Own Wine with no corkage fees on the first bottle! The second floor offers casual fine dining, while the third floor is for private VIP dining.

Kultura is a beautifully decorated venue and consists of three floors. You will find long communal tables for when you’re in a social mood, as well as private tables in case you’re looking for a more intimate experience. The ambiance, mood and noise level are perfect, so if you’re looking to impress a date, this place is a great choice. It’s also a fabulous spot to have dinner and drinks with a group prior to going out for a night of partying.

Kultura is a tapas-style restaurant, so the portions are slightly smaller and meant for sharing. Our waitress recommended that we order 5 dishes to share between the two of us. So we decided to order the following:

• Two glasses of the Argentinian Malbec
• Fish and Chicken Tacos
• Chicken Samosas (Asiago, Sage, Spiced Apple Gari Chutney, Chai Tea Glaze)
• Ginger Miso Chilean Sea Bass (Cauliflower Purée, Pancetta, Herbed Butter, Grilled Pineapple)
• Mushroom Orecchiette (Shiitake, Oyster & King Oyster, Pinot Noir Pear Chutney, Aged Cheddar)
• Soy Cured Salmon (Fried Capers, Blood Orange, Basil Cress, Sweet Peppers)
• Pink Rose and Green Teas

We found each dish delicious, inventive and full of flavour. Our favourite item on the menu was the Mushroom Orecchiette – it was to die for! We were extremely satisfied (and stuffed) by the end of our meal!

The wait staff was very courteous, professional and attentive. We never had to wait long for our drinks or food, as each item was brought out one after another.

Thanks to the Kultura staff for having us and hosting an incredible dinner and memorable night! We can’t wait to come back to try more items on the menu!

Walked in with a friend...
asked to see a menu. Waitress had to run upstairs to get a menu.. (really?) .. place was empty

Then the hostess tells me how they have jager shots and some other shot special. We both looked at eachother and thought, 'is this some d-bag restaurant where they try to highlight jagermeister shots?' ..

We waited a few more minutes to see the menu.. still no one came downstairs, so we took off.

Went online to check out the menu. It actually looks good, but the initial impression turned us off. So yes, we did visit this venue, but ironically, without eating, left us with a bad taste.
