Wait staff is friendly and food is very good. Nothing over the top but a nice place to relax, dine and drink. I was there twice and the Shepards pie was good (and on special that day). The better meal was a turkey burger with goat cheese and red peppers. It was delicious.

We had brunch at this nicely renovated restaurant on the Easter weekend. The peameal bacon in the eggs Benedict and in the peameal bacon stack sandwich was a real treat. Service is relaxed, beers are tasty.

Had dinner here tonight, we opted to sit upstairs where it was an oasis of calm compared to downstairs. Our waitress showed us to a nice table and took a drinks order. We both decided to try the shepherds pie. This arrived with hot seasonal vegetables - very al dente and crunchy. The pie was absolutely delicious and well presented on the plate. Would definitely eat here again.

the churchmouse has been closed for a couple of weeks and has unveiled a total new look. gone is the dark pub look and in is the new bright look with walls in gray and white with the london "tube signs" and british icons added to the decor -- nice a fresh and more comfortable seating with the booths taken out! great!!!!!!!!!!!!! (whole firkin chain will be redone)
they have kept most of the favourite items on the menu but added some new ones. i had the mac and cheese with a meat ball! YUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUM! and i'm going back soon to see what else they have added.
andrew and his team, including rashotte always make me feel at home. thanks folks -- it's great to be your customer and WELL FED!!!!
