First time going here was for my fiance's birthday.
Kinda weird spot as it is in the lower level of a condo. But don't let that throw you off, it is probably one of the best french restaurants in Toronto.

Starts off with free valet parking. Great start!
On a clear day you can even get a decent view of the city.

Menu had great options.
We went with the seared scallop and wanton to start. It was great!
Then we shared the Partridge (which was probably the best white meat dish I have ever had) and the Venison (cooked medium rare) and that too was fantastic.

What I love about upscale french restaurants is how everything on dish contributes to the overall dish. Every element matters. The tastes were wonderful.

For dessert we wrapped it up with their World Famous Coconut Cream Pie.
I have to say, this was the best dessert I have ever had. No wonder it has won so many awards.
It's a must have if you are coming here.

They also have a large wine list to choose from, so all tastes will be satisfied.

This place aint cheap, but it's well worth the visit.

Scaramouche has been deservedly recognised as one of Toronto's top restaurants for over thirty years. Even its mid-town location is a destination; hidden away within a discreet apartment building that itself is now being converted into a condominium. Valet parking is standard. For us, dinner at Scaramouche is a special treat, and we particularly enjoy the slightly less expensive Pasta Bar section. We've been going there, on special occasions, for decades, and have never been disappointed. Be prepared to spend between $75 and $100 Cad. per person, for a full meal with wine. The architecture of both the main restaurant and the Pasta Bar is contemporary classic, and the wait-staff are well-trained and polite. The atmosphere is one of casual elegance, and not at all 'stuffy'. The rooms open up to massive south-facing windows, offering panoramic views of the downtown Toronto skyline.

A particular favourite main course of ours, and a 'signature dish' of the restaurant, is the grilled Provimi Calf's Liver, with caramelized onions and whipped potatoes. It may sound simple, but the chefs here master it. This pairs beautifully with a dessert of Coconut Cream Pie. This is not just another 'signature dish' of Scaramouche: it has a reputation all of its own! Order it, and be rewarded with a huge chunk of pure indulgence.

All the details, from the mini-pots of humus for a bread-spread, to the delicious coffee, to the ambience, reflect the quality of this restaurant. Looking forward to our next visit.

This was my third visit to Scaramouche. It is a fine french restaurant with a specular wine list tucked away in a residential area of Toronto. It's situated on a hilltop, with dramatic nighttime views of the downtown core. There's complimentary valet parking.

The food is delicious. I have never had a dish I didn't love. On this visit our dinner party tried the grilled octopus, the mediterrainian Sea bass and the Sable fish - all very fresh, lightly seasoned to preserve the authenticity of the texture and taste each seafood. The Vanilla Panna Cotta was incrediable.

Personally, this is my favourite restaurant in Toronto.

We ate at the Pasta Bar again and loved ever bite. Warm welcome. Excellent service. Wonderful menu. Delicious food nicely presented. Alway hot. Wonderful tastes and textures. Everything here was spot on! Keep up the good work, Pasta Bar, and we will keep coming back for more.

I you want ambience, great food and..a view over Toronto, this is the place!!!Don't be put off by the strange location (You feel that you are visiting an apartment complex.). Do reserve by the window.
