Description: Scaramouche has long been celebrated by customers and critics for its unwavering commitment to making each dining experience a memorable one. Chef/owner Keith Froggett's sophisticated cuisine is presented simply with care and attention to detail. The service underscores that philosophy: unobtrusive and respectful. The restaurant affords a stunning nighttime vista of the downtown Toronto skyline. These components and more make Scaramouche the singular destination it is. And the reason that the restaurant is consistently ranked as one of the city's best for more than three decades.

To write about the decor, the carpet, the other diners seems a bit strange to me when generally I thought the idea was to enjoy the food....I can't recall having the food taste any different depending on the colour of the carpet...now what can I say...the view is fantastic, the service was EXCELLENT , the food, tasty, quickly delivered , not the worlds largest portion and maybe a little over priced but we thought it was worth it, was able to order off two separate menus to accommodate food alleges which was a nice touch for someones birthday... a great night out

Like the other reviews you may read here, Scaramouche has been around FOR-EV-ER and still has the same blue carpet, same wood and laminate tables, same beautiful view and yes, the same good food you expect. I revisited it this week, after many years away from the resto, and I was left with a singular impression: old boys club. If you don't book far in advance by telephone and request a specific table OR know the Maitre-D' in person OR aren't one of the regulars, well you might as well get a table at curbside. Time to spruce this old lady up, and clear the room dividers so everyone gets that gorgeous food WITH their great meals. And get rid of that stuffy Maitre D'. Honestly, it's so passe (note the accent there) to play favourites.

For many years, this has been my favourite restaurant in Toronto. The service is fantastic, the food superb and the view is beautiful. Ian is always so gracious...I always eat in the dining room, rather than the pasta bar. It's fun to be pampered!
