This is a very cool place.... enter....sit on the bar and enjoy the friendly atmosphere , the funny waiters and the excellent seafood....
Suggestions:
- Garlic Shrimps (very good)
- "seacuterie" : house made salmon patè with smoked oysters, caviar and chips
-a selection of fresh oysters (the waiters prepare them in front of you....).
- draft beer is a must!
The price is not cheap (about 60 $ for person for 2 entrees beer/glass of wine and a shared course of oysters... ) but is OK since you are eating fish and you are in the city center of Toronto...
Nothing better for seafood in Toronto so far.....

best bet for seafood lovers in Toronto, Very cool restaurant with interesting decor and live fish tanks at the entrance. Menu is limited but great selection of seafood at reasonable prices. Highly recommend the nice fundy scallops and boiled lobster with skinny fries. Our server was very knowledgeable of the food and booze menu, and kept us entertained the entire evening. Will be back in the future

I went with my friends and family. We didn't made a reservation and had to wait over 1 hour, but it was worth while to be patient. I believe you can expect of attentive staff and one of the best seafood in Toronto.

What makes Rodney's so good?

The variety of seafood and excellent service. It's also been there forever. All of the servers are friendly and provide excellent advice. They have a variety of seafood items, including ones you won't find elsewhere like periwinkles. The selection of oysters (and clams) is enormous and if you don't know which ones to order, the server will help you put together a plate depending on what you like and what's fresh. They serve the oyster plates with a variety of condiments including fresh horseradish, Tabasco, and a selection of 5 home made hot sauces ranging from mild to hot. Try the white boy soul sauce!

I have also had their soups which are delicious (Manhattan chowder is tomato based, my favorite). If you are really looking to treat yourself they have some really big crabs that are kept live in tanks at the front of the restaurant. I have seen tables order them and they serve them really nicely...

P.S. If you have a chance to use the Men's washroom, pay attention to the art..lol

We stopped in here one evening for dinner and I must say it was one of the best seafood restaurants I've ever eaten in. We ordered the smoker's platter to start, absolutely delectable! For mans we had the garlic shrimp and steamed mussels, which were excellent and cooked to perfection. My wife had the chocolate mousse which she tells me was divine! The prices were pretty reasonable and also staff were great, very informative and helpful with menu suggestions. Highly recommend!
