Description: Rodney Clark has been offering oysters to the masses in Toronto since 1987. Our selection changes daily, but we carry on average 12-18 different varieties from around the world. We also strive to offer the finest in fresh seafood, sourced from sustainable fisheries - as we work primarily with fresh product, you'll have to come down and see what's coming through our doors this week.

We made a reservation via e-mail a week before leaving Ottawa for our trip to Toronto. The restaurant called to confirm the reservation. Upon arrival there was no record of our reservation, but we were seated after a 15 minute wait. We had picked Rodney's because they were said to have their own oyster beds in the Maritimes. The menus arrived, actually a jumble of paper and wooden menus with no explantion of specials or details - and were disappointing for a seafood restaurant - $10 clam chowder - a cup no less, salmon, sole for fish. But, we were there for the oysters and the winkles. Surprise! No Winkles. So, we ordered three different kinds of oysters to start. Surprise! The oysters we wanted were not in stock. We inquired about the Cherrystone and the Littleneck clams. Surprise! They were all out of clams. I guess they were all in the chowder. After a brief discussion amongst ourselves, we did something I've never done before - we left the restaurant and found another restaurant nearby with actually had some food. The waiter was good about it - apologetic and didn't charge us for the beer we had just started to drink. Rodney's may be a very very good restaurant, but not having much of the food which they specialize in isn't a very good advertisement.

Despite having visited Toronto more times than we can remember, and despite being foodies, my partner and I had never eaten at Rodney’s Oyster House until this month. We were not disappointed.
Service was fantastic. No less than 6 people came to our table to greet, offer suggestions, serve, inquire about our satisfaction and needs, and talk. Included was Rodney, himself, who spent at least 5 minutes chatting with us.
We had a selection of oysters chosen by one of our servers and two of the $10 specials (great value), the oyster po’ boy and the lobster roll. One came with a salad and the other with fries very reminiscent of the iconic Kelekis chips in Winnipeg. Delicious!
We make it a practice when we travel of not returning to restaurants, as we want to have new dining experiences. That won’t be the case with Rodney’s. It and School (a review for which I intend to post soon) are repeats.
Loved it.

the pictures on the walls of the restaurant and in the bathroom is reason alone to visit - they are hillarious and some of them you will have to scoot your kids by real quick or you will have to do some quick talking :) Rodney's supplies oysters to most if not all the retail Fish stores in the city - as well as his competition so his stock is always fresh. Served with his signature sauces from a mild vinigerette to "hotter than hell" a dozen oysters is a must with every visit

Went to Rodney's for my Wife's birthday as she loves oysters and we enjoy this place a lot.. She had oysters, I had snapper.. all the food was amazing.. fresh and so well prepared and served.. it was super busy due to the Grey Cup weekend going on.. the service was less than normal but made up for by the laid back and friendly server.. still love the Bathroom decor!
