Friendly Quality service - wine steward recommendations suited our food perfectly. Halibut dish superb; and mousaka brought memories of the best of Greece. When I mentioned that the salmon dish was a little dry (overcooked), the waitress without hesitation offered a replacement dish. WOW. I declined the offer.

Shank of lamb was outstanding. Extremely moist and flavourable. Service was very good. The portions were just right. Calamari were tasty, but a little oily. The saganaki was delicious and highly recommend it. Overall, a very good choice.

Frankly, we picked this place due to its name, Pappas, the same as one lady in our group of six. We could not have made a better choice. The location is excellent, in the heart of Greektown. Our table was waiting for us. The owner was most gracious meeting all our expectations and more. When asked if we could take home a menu (for the Pappas in our group) we were given three. We also were given a free flaming cheese appetizer. The food was excellent. Service was very, very good. Only after our relaxing and enjoyable evening did we find out that this restaurant was used as backdrop in "My Big Fat Greek Wedding". We would go back there anytime we were in Toronto with much anticipation.

Pappas is as good a choice as any in Greektown. In my opinion, they could elevate themselves even more if they re-introduced their old seafood salad. That was worth the detour. As things stand, there many other worthy choices along Danfoth Avenue.
