“Some of the Most Flavorful Food Out There”
Reviewed January 31, 2013

Our second time at Mt Everest and we will be going back as the food has not missed a beat. Prices are excellent and portions are a good size. We ordered the mixed appetizer to get a sampling of all and these wonderful chicken morsels-slight dijon tang. We never go wrong with the mains-the lentils are fantastic as is the goat and butter chicken. Make sure you try the Nepalese specialties including the veggie dishes even if you are not vegetarian as the flavors and textures completely trick you. Ambience in the restaurant is good with lots of local decor. Service is excellent and friendly. It's laid back with a mixed crowd and you just can't go wrong here.

“Excellent food! An interesting culinary experience!!”
Reviewed January 28, 2013

Mt. Everest Restaurant is a great culinary experience. The different spices make for a truly unique experience. The warm, not as creamy butter chicken is a great example of this. Not as rich of a butter chicken that you would find in an Indian restaurant, Mt. Everest's still had a certain zip to the dish. The garlic naan was solid. Not overpowering, but just the right amount of flavour to allow you to enjoy the bread. The chef's appetizer dish gives you a sampling of many appetizers and I highly recommend it, because it gives you a solid introduction to Nepalese cuisine. The service was very nce and polite and more than willing to explain the local dishes, which I found to be very nice. I believe the service though could use a bit of tighteninig up in regards to serving the customer. Long waits before our order was taken and waiting for our server to bring us our bill definitely effects the meal. Located in the Annex, a nice trendy part of Toronto, Mt. Everest Restaurant has an ideal location to begin a night out on the town. If you want to try something a little bit different that will be full of flavour, then Mt. Everest Restaurant would be a great place to start. I found out about Mt. Everest Restaurant
through a groupon and I was very pleased with the quality of the meal. I would say that a visit to Mt. Everest might leave you a bit out of breath due to some of the spiciness of the food, but the warm atmosphere and good service will leave you charmed!

“Excellent Food!”
Reviewed November 6, 2012

This would have been five stars but the atmosphere was more like three stars. The food and service, however, were exquisite! We had simosa appetizers that were perfectly cooked and very tasty; tandoori chicken that was one of the best I've tasted; and a lamb dish with a cashew cream sauce that was to die for. The naan was warm and delicious! The only negative was that the tables were fairly close together so it's not the place for a private conversation. I will definitely go again!

“Kingston Traveler at Mt. Everest on Bloor Street West in Toronto”

Their Gulab Jamun is a sweet dish which is part of their buffet. Excellent price CAD 9.99. Atmosphere relaxing and waiters were professional, informative, and very polite. Although Buffet is mostly vegeterian, it also had 2 different types of chicken. Vegetables and chicken spicy but not over bearing. I would rate it a 6 start location

“Delicious!”
Reviewed October 23, 2012

This is one of my favourite restaurants in Toronto, serving some of the best tandoori delights I've tried here (if you like chicken - try the Hariyali Tikka, marinated in yogurt and mint, or the Chicken Tikka, for 15.5$; if you enjoy lamb - try the Lamb Tikka for 17$).The portions are generous, and if you order a side of rice you'll likely have leftovers for another meal.

The restaurant also has a good selection of the typical entrées (with sauce). I recommend trying the Gost Pasanda (lamb in cashew sauce), for 14$.

The restaurant is not cheap, but the food is high quality and very delicious.
