Description: Located close to Toronto's Yorkville area, Mistura opened in October of 1997 to rave reviews and continues today with the same ideals. It boasts excellent quality, seasonal menus and served by the professional and knowledgeable team. Mistura is about hospitality that's fun and comfortable, set in an elegant candle-lit atmosphere. A contemporary Italian cuisine reflects a simplified yet refined approach to taste. An extensive wine list, including wine from some of the world's finest vineyards, and an attentive, knowledgeable staff add to the appeal. Perhaps you prefer a more intimate, private setting. Mistura's private dining room holds 14 people, while the semi-private dining room holds up to 40, to cater to your more private functions.

from the 1st sip of the absolute martini to the last drop of a well made Americano, this was a delightful experience for a discriminating foodie. the crispy artichoke and the beet salad as starters were delicious, the beet risotto as mentioned in other review is very good, my date enjoyed the boned cornish hens stuffed and wrapped in pancetta, on a cauliflower puree, and i enjoyed the lamb, done to a turn, on a bed of lentils and garlic infused rapine. we shared several of these courses, including the arcancia. a little Italian wine we had discovered when we were recently in Rome blended it all together. the service was attentive, but not overbearing and who would have thought?, the boss was at the front door on the way out to say thank you and provide a return invitation. a solid 5 stars in my humble opinion.

This is great Italian food, always has been, always will be. The red beet risotto is a must. They've had it on the menu forever. I just had the seared scallops which were over the top delicious. The rabbit is another favourite staple too. You can't go wrong with any of your choices just don't miss out on the red beet risotto. They now do corkage too, which means you can pair up a sensational favourite wine with your sensational meal.

My husband and I have gone there for years for our birthdays and anniversary!!! Their food is always excellent! Always love their soups and appetizers. Have wanted to try other main course entrees but cannot seem to get past their Duck Confit or PAPERA ARROSTO (Seared Duck breast & Duck leg confit, wilted greens, potato rösti & mostarda di Cremona) which is always done to perfection. Many years ago we did have the BRANZINO (Mediterranean Sea Bass with mushrooms, artichokes, fingerling & sundried olives brodetto) which was the best Sea Bass I have ever had, my husband also agreed. Love their cocktails!!! This is one of the only restaurants I have gone to who always prepare the cocktails perfect and you never have to send it back or complain. Their desserts are also done to perfection, always very artistically prepared and very tasty. Love the traditional atmosphere and ambiance of the restaurant which is always very relaxing. In all the years we have gone there at least 3 times a year we have never had anything to complain about and have always had a very enjoyable experience!!! Superb service and cuisine!!
